Closest I can think of is Adelaide 2006/07. But this top it.Someone tell me a more unexpected day 5 result. I cannot think of one.

Throw up the obvious one - Adelaide 06/7? Although this is more out there for me.Someone tell me a more unexpected day 5 result. I cannot think of one.
Yes, it was so unexpected to see Sehwag smash a century on a road in a drawClosest I can think of is Adelaide 2007/08. But this top it.
England vs Australia, Adelaide 2007?SpaceMonkey;2571915[B said:]Can't remember such a more unlikely win in a Test match ever.[/B] People just assumed this would peter out to a draw. Maybe that's the mentality that Sri Lanka had too and just switched off mentally?
Great bowling by Tremlett and Swann though.
Headingley 81 or Adelaide 06? Dunno.Someone tell me a more unexpected day 5 result. I cannot think of one.
indeed.Yes, it was so unexpected to see Sehwag smash a century on a road in a draw
Not many from an England pov. There was an England game in the nineties against Pakistan at home when the latter collapsed and England just chased down a small total. The fiddled England chase against SA, Adelaide '06...Someone tell me a more unexpected day 5 result. I cannot think of one.
Massive win all round for England. What a lovely bowling display. I'm still bitter enough about Melbourne to feel rather pleased that someone has been WORSE, FAR, FAR WORSE.If your three bowlers bowl that well, you don't need a fourth. Incredible to think this was done without their best bowler.
This.What on earth...?!
Congrats to our English posters. Gutted I missed it.
Haha I've already posted about that. Agree so so so much.Massive win all round for England. What a lovely bowling display. I'm still bitter enough about Melbourne to feel rather pleased that someone has been WORSE, FAR, FAR WORSE.
They've found the bloke who should partner Anderson in the future with the new ball.
