Forecast for tomorrow is hideous. It's the first day of the Oxfordshire district cricket festival and this will be the fourth time in five years it's been a total washout. This means 35 phone calls at 8:30am tomorrow.

To be fair, this is about a third morning pitch now in terms of overs bowled, and things are starting to happen - Herath is getting some decent turn and there is movement around - but the weather has been the biggest factor in the general lack of interest.TheseEnglishWelsh roads, always producing dull Test cricket, compared to the exciting subcontinent wickets....

It has started to play up a bit but on the whole its slowness has been a touch annoying. Not the best sort of pitch for Test cricket.

He's given it away completely, partly due to injury and partly due to cba I think. There was a Test a few years ago in which they used nine bowlers and he wasn't one of them. He's bowled a little bit in one day cricket recently though - he might've started practicing it again to make himself more selectable for the World Cup.
