Yeah, Trott is brilliant. What impressed me even more was the way he has knuckled down and become a gun ODI player, though he doesn't look like a natural for that format. Was superb in the WC on slow, low tracks that aren't really suited to the way he plays. Great mentality.

The machine goes on, such an appetite for runs it is unreal.

Wonder if he can carry it on at anything like the rate he is now. Obviously he isn't going to average 67 after 50 or so tests but i wonder how far it will drop off in that time. Is he another Jimmy Adams for example?

There could be a argument made, for getting up to 400 and then playing like a 20/20 game, get as many as you can, as quick as you can and having a crack at the SL's. The pitch is defo doing a bit more today, variable bounce and a little bit more turn, even with 3 bowlers on the last day, it must be worth a crack.
