Did you miss Sparks warning? Cut it out.You aren't the CA marketing dude, are you? He hates test cricket too.
Haha.... well said..You aren't the CA marketing dude, are you? He hates test cricket too.
They're not giving up at all. If the opposition bowlers want to waste their energy bowling miles wide of off stump then they're welcome to.There is no point in giving up so early... it's just negative cricket... they can't hope to be no.1 if they play like this.
Yeah this. Big part of the reason Hilf was so ****, tbh. They're not giving up at all. If the opposition bowlers want to waste their energy bowling miles wide of off stump then they're welcome to.
It was a joke.Did you miss Sparks warning? Cut it out.
Who's Gah? Gower?Quite interesting hearing Gah & Knight talk about slow scoring.
If the former had the patience of Trott he'd have averaged closer to 60 than 40.
Why take unneccesary risks?Haha.... well said..
No just that I'd prefer batters taking a bit more risk... not anything like Dilshan or Sehwag, but enough to make it a decent contest...
right now, Cook and Trott are settling into that.. which makes good viewing...
I sat up a few times over the Ashes summer and I found Cook and Trott's concentration admirable if very painful as an Aus fan. KP is better to watch, but these guys have so much patience. The gulf in patience/discipline between the two sides was embarrassing to put it mildly.Haha.... well said..

Can't score a thing from the pavillion. Why take unneccesary risks?
A batsman's job is to score runs, which you can't do if you've thrown your wicket away to a wide delivery you could have left alone.
Indeed so. David Gah. As it's correctly pronounced.Who's Gah? Gower?

Haha yeah indeed. To be fair though they scored enough runs and the fifth bowler (the one who wouldn't have played if they'd picked a sensible amount of batsmen) is Mendis who at least provides something a bit different. This is exactly why adding one more ineffective bowler to Sri Lanka's ineffective attack was pointless.
