Yes Joyce and Nash making things look very comfortable again for Sussex, two excellent wins in the last two games, handing out serious beatings to Notts, now Somerset.Joyce and Nash have been the best opening pair in the CC by miles. Making it look easy.
Yes it is a fine sight seeing someone bowl at such consistently high pace in his opening burst. He's aggressive, and his run-up is literally an amble. He mustn't gain barely any pace due to his run up to the wicket, it's all in his action, his fast arm and of course he must be an exceptionally strong guy. Great to see him back playing cricket, even if he will generally be limited to one-day cricket.I just love watching Jones bowl, with his slow trundle to the crease and all action bowling style, he's bowling fast as well and accurate, bowled the fastest ball so far on Sky this year at 93mph, and every ball above 90mph. He's having the batsmen, jumping around all over the place. It is amazing, that a guy who has been injured for practically 5 years, can still bowl at this pace.
Porterfield and Chopra?Yes Joyce and Nash making things look very comfortable again for Sussex, two excellent wins in the last two games, handing out serious beatings to Notts, now Somerset.
Would say Jimmy Adams and Liam Dawson have forged a pretty consistent partnership this season aswell, can't think off the top of my head of any other duo that have had such success.
Have only opened together in the last three CC games, started off with Westwood and Chopra, with Porterfield coming in at three.Porterfield and Chopra?
Did alright for Warwickshire with the ball (and bat). Scored more FC runs while at the county than Jonathan Trott.True, but it does seem to be a recurring theme, doesn't it? He wasn't anywhere near his best on the 2008 tour, and that was between having two brilliant Test seasons.
Yeah, and I then looked and Porterfield has been pretty poor so far, think I'm getting confused with his CB40 efforts.Have only opened together in the last three CC games, started off with Westwood and Chopra, with Porterfield coming in at three.
