Didn't quite imagine it would lead to Test bowling success though.tbf he looked world class all throughout the WC not least against Australia

It's rubbish though. Fidel only really became a half decent bowler well into his Test career. Sammy just doesn't bowl enough to get exposed. From cricinfo
David Jordan is among the few Sammy fans: "@ Ravi Jodhan. Sammy has a test bowling average of 31.03 from 11 tests. That's better than Fidel's (39.43) and indeed Flintoff's (32.78). That suggests he is worthy of selection as a bowler. It's his ODI averages/performances that let Sammy down. "
Bowled between bat and pad like a dunce.....Woah...Smith got out to off spin.
true. Edwards not playing though.....bowling looks quite thin for WI.It's rubbish though. Fidel only really became a half decent bowler well into his Test career. Sammy just doesn't bowl enough to get exposed.
It's the correct move.Wickets in WI turn, and they have had no clue against spin in the tour so far.Pakistan have always won matches thanks to their fast bowlers. I can't believe that we aren't using 3 quicks. It's a shame to see the current state of both Pakistan and West Indies fast bowling.
Well that clears that up. Always suspected Sammy was better than Flintoff myself. From cricinfo
