Blues make it 7. What a terrible game. I left it with 15 to go and there was already 40+ turnovers. Thought watching the Tahs was bad.
Blues could've lost if not for a sensational tackle that knocked the ball from the replacement half's grasp as he was diving over the line in the last play of the match

Old saying that "good teams still find a way to win when playing badly" but get the feeling that the Blues are pretenders

Was a great tackle, might've been Chris Lowrey from memory. Either way, would've given Cruden the chance to kick the Canes to a last minute victory for the second consecutive week.

The Blues are a tough unit to discuss - they haven't lose since week 2 and beat the Crusaders in their opening encounter, yet IMO don't look to have the goods to take the title out. They either fire for 30 mins, scoring 4-5 tries, and go to sleep for the rest of the match, or ground out close victories like the past two weeks. I guess thats an effective strategy so far that perhaps deserves more commending but I still wouldn't put any money on them winning the competition despite their standing on the table.

well done vimes and ttboy for the saders tip.
Had to go for the Crusaders as the Stormers are perennial bridesmaids and in the most crux fixtures they are usually found wanting. Pretty ridiculous that they did end up losing this one though as the Crusaders were already down to a second string side (no McCaw, Carter, Thorn, Ellis, Ben Franks and Sam Whitelock) and by half time they had lost Israel, Maitland, Fotuali’I and Adam Whitelock. Must rank as one of the Crusaders best Super rugby victories considering all that.

Currently liking the Cheetahs to make it 3 in 3 and beat the Saders next week. Last time they met at Bloem, the Cheetahs won and the likes of McCaw and Thorn played in that fixture. And it may have only been the Lions but the Cheetahs were awesome on Friday night. Great to watch.

Danny Cipriani omitted from the Rebels tour squad to the Republic. Looks like his Super rugby career has come to an end.

From the Rebels matches I've seen hes been horribly exposed on defence and although his kicking's been solid hes added little to the Melbourne cause all things considered. Also interested to hear that Butch James is back and might appear for the Lions this weekend - do you think with a few solid performances hes a realistic chance to be included in the Springbok squad?

Probably too late to add this enhancement but for future tipping competitions if someone tips and underdog (say the TAB has then at $2.50 or greater) then I reckon they should get 2 points rather than 1 point.

Nah - That's what makes a tipping comp a tipping comp - if you pick the upset you get the advantage of the point no other brave soul dared.

Boy's a complete mope.

****ing it all up big time. Drinking on a school night after being told not to? Brainless.

He is a talent; guided England to their sole win over Ireland in the last 8 attempts in 2008, but hasn't moved forward since and is actually regressing rapidly.

A comment from Rebels CEO Ross Oakley:
“The playing group and management have lost confidence in Danny... To put the decision in context, Danny also chose to stay out late again the night after the incident in Sydney, and did not attend training the following day. Management is addressing these issues with Danny and we support the decision to not allow him to join the tour to South Africa.”

I quite like a simple format of 1 point per correct tip and 2 for semis, 3 for finals, etc. - but if you like perhaps we could try your format or something similar to your suggestion for this year's ITM Cup tipping competition?
