I was matching Aus Open 2009 final earlier today...
Thought of you Jono...
Did you go to that match ???
Mate can you believe I didn't!? One of the worst decisions I've ever made. Watched it with mates on TV and was absolutely loved that match, but I doubt I'll ever have another chance to watch Nadal vs. Federer.

Managed to watch Nadal live this year though.
Julia Görges.

Rarely has a name been so apt.
She is gorgeous, but she is also very very good.

Can you believe she was paying around $8 before the match?

I jumped on her at $5.90 when it was 5-5 in the first set. Can you believe those odds? Only put a $10er. Wish I put more.

Soderlng vs. Del Potro on clay in the Estoril Open in Portugal.

Only a 250 tournament, but will be an interesting warm up as both head into the business end of the clay court season over the next month and a half.

JMDP has the wood over Soderling, but on clay it could very well be a different matter.

I would pay any price to jump on her.

That tennis court they are playing on in the Serbia Open is a disgrace. May as well go play on gravel.

LOL @ Feliciano Lopez absolutely bottling it vs. Federer.

7-6 6-7 and the third set is a tiebreak as well.

Spanish crowd completely behind Lopez and he is 4-2 up in the tiebreak. He has an easy smash, one of the most easiest smashes you will see, to make it 5-2 and put Federer down a double mini-break. He completely misses the court. Basically misses the tram tracks. He ends up losing the tiebreak.

Federer sure is ordinary nowadays though. Lopez may be in some decent form, but FFS Federer, it's FELICIANO LOPEZ.

I did find the match pretty exciting though, and I did think Fed was mentally tough near the end (didn't error, aced on match point).

Doesn't defeat the fact he was ordinary. Just like Rafa was ordinary at the end of 2009 yet winning matches thanks to chokes from the opposition and he playing crunch points well (see his wins over Robredo and Almagro at Paris Masters, Ljubicic at Shanghai Masers).

So not sure your point really.

Haha if your point in that post was I love taking digs at Federer, then I thought that'd be self-evident and not needed to be pointed out :p

Doesn't mean I don't rate the guy obviously. Fact is for the first 3-4 months his form was was fine, as he was only losing to Novak and Rafa.

But losing to Melzer in straight sets and then being match point down to Lopez is dodgy form. I reckon its fair enough to say that.

Federer's had worse form than that in the past three years. Besides, I don't think anyone expects him to make waves in this clay court season.

She was paying over $3 too. Bookies not learning their lesson.

Meanwhile Federer vs. Soderling tonight. Considering Soder beat Fed at the French last year you'd think he'd have a chance, especially since Fed isn't in great form. But since then Soder has gotten his ass kicked by Fed.

It's like Soder had a chance to break the Fed hoo-doo after such a great win and he ****ed it all up. Mental edge is definitely with Fed again.

Professional display from Fed to knock over Soder in straight sets, and Novak also came out on top on his first challenge of the clay season in Ferrer. Lost a set but that's probably a good thing to face a tough match before he meets Rafa.

You'd imagine Nadal will beat Fed and Novak will beat Belluci, which should give us a tasty final.

Great to see some results for Bellucci. Hopefully he doesn't now do what Gulbis did after his awesome clay season last year and drop off the face of the Earth.

Well it'll be important for Bellucci to actually do well at the French as well I reckon.

That was the key with Gulbis. Didn't follow it up in the Slam.
