He has a neat haircut. What I want to know is, why was Cook always earmarked as the next captain two years ago? Is it based on any knid of captaincy success in county cricket or youth cricket?

Wow. I've heard Strauss and Clarke a lot, but that surely has to take the cake. Synergy...I really don't mind Broad as the T20 captain.
My feelings on T20 is generally summed up by calling it hit-n-giggle cricket, with the disclaimer that I do like a good giggle.
So I'd like T20 around just to be as entertaining as it can be. With that in mind, Broad is a pants decision. His interviews are utterly terrible. His speech at the press conference today?
Ugh. I had to take around six goes to read it because I kept mentally shutting down halfway through. It must be a feature that when utterly nothing you've said means anything, people find it hard to tell the words apart.
Not only that but... hang on a second.
What
Oh god no
Kill me, kill me now
really?! why is that? cook can't even make the team and gets the captaincy.Him hinting he wants a shot at the ODI captaincy shows how much of a **** he is, really.
Because, basically, Peitersen is a terrible ODI batsman at the moment. He's averaged about 20 since the beginning of 2009. Unless you think Cook will have the same output in ODIs as a tail-ender, There's no way he can be worse than Peitersen. If KP wasn't an integral part of the test setup, I reckon he might very well have been dropped by now from the ODI side.really?! why is that?
His T20 performances have kept him in the side too - if he were only performing in Tests he may have given up limited overs cricket altogether by now.Because, basically, Peitersen is a terrible ODI batsman at the moment. It's interesting when you look at KP's stats, in 2007 he played 25 games, 2008 21 games, during his bad run in 2009 and 2010, he's played only 8 and 9 games in each. He has been in a bad run of form, but I don't think other things have helped him, like injuries and just not getting his game right in OdI's because he hasn't been playing the amount of games, he has in previous years.KP doesn't deserve to be in the side at all on merit. Two fifties in two years is just appalling.
He was Man of the tournament in the T20 WC and scored in all the last 8 matches he was in and also in the final, so I don't know how he doesn't warrant his place there. His form in the T20 stuff has been good and in the Ashes he looked back to his best even though he only got one really big score, but in 6 innings, a double and two half centuries, is pretty good.I think his performances had dropped off so much that he doesn't warrant a place in the side. From memory even though we won the T20 WC his personal performance was pretty poor. Since then both his test and ODI performances have dropped off so I can see why the selectors didn't think he was an option.
Whoops!He's talking about Colly mate
