My guess is they'll be something like 100/0 off the first ten.

England selectors first of all left him out for Kieswetter and then went for Davies and all of a sudden they plomped for Prior a few matches into the Aus series. To me that sent the wrong messages.

I've never seen him keep, but his batting is amazingly inventive. Scores at 150 and plays proper cricket shots, has elastic wrists and is great at manipulating the ball. Strong boy too. Has a good case to play for Engalnd as a specialist batsman in the limited overs formats, as he does at Somerset, in fact (due to Kieswetter keeping).

Yeah. Would have been my choice as opening partner for Strauss. Was exposed against the Aussie quicks last summer but on these slow, low wickets, Kes is the sort of cricketer who would excel and he has form for scoring runs out in the subcontinent. If not, then Davies did nothing which warranted being axed for Prior.

Don't know much about Jos. Only saw him twice last year but he seems like a talent and appears to be a proper keeper as well. Kes may have to just concentrate on his batting from now on.

Should be Davies really - he wasn't just the best keeper-batsman in domestic one dayers last season, he was one of the best batsman full stop. Averaged 47.44 opening the innings for Surrey. Edit: That actually included 5 ODIs, his domestic only record was even better.

I could see both him and Kieswetter playing in the same side though.

AB or Van Wyk and we've also got a super young talent in Quinton De Kock.

Boucher and Kuhn will very much be the test keepers.

Just on the run outs with the bat bouncing up, I think Nasser is unaware the rule has been changed to say batsman can't now be run out if the bat is initially grounded without the wicket being broken and then comes up on impact.
