WTF is with this field?

Chappelli is right. Ludicrously defensive.
With just 180 odd on the board and a potential defeat to a minnow on the cards I think they've decided to make sure they dont give away easy runs.

Not Terrible
Rubbish mate if Pakistan don't get wickets and let Canada bat for all the overs they want Pakistan will lose. Not enough runs to be content with defense.

However I can see the reason why they're being so defensive, trying to get a few cheap overs out of the way before they bring the attacking bowlers back. Pakistan are preparing for a game that will go past the 45 over mark.

If this were any other side in the tournament batting, they'd be favourites. But Canada's batting has been so terrible, and Cheema is just one unpredictable player. They're going to have to accelerate sooner or later and right now it's looking like they'll collapse as soon as they try.

He is gifting singles right now. Canada will need 60 to win before Afridi even realises tbh

I hate modern captains.

I'd get Gul back on the 30th over. He should start getting reverse then.

Bowl Ajmal through. Afridi on as soon as possible too. Attacking fields. Don't give them singles, look for the wickets.

Put some faith in Razzaq, Riaz and Hafeez to do the job if the three main bowlers don't bowl Canada out.

If you let them milk singles they'll get there.

The Wheel is Forever
Required run rate is not relevant...even if its like 7RRR with five overs to go but they have six wickets in the bag, Canada are pretty big favorites. The shorter the chase, the less RR is important - Pakistan need wickets. If Canada keep going 3 an over, but don't lose any wickets until the last five, they'll win.

Reckon this pair looks pretty comfortable tbh.

My point exactly. Which is why Pak should be choking the singles and driving the RRR up. They won't win by allowing free singles.

Expected more from Afridi tbh.

Four from Hansra. What a useful innings this is proving to be. Canada closing in.

I'm not sure I'll ever be able to take Pakistan cricket serious again tbh

This is horrific.

But it's Canada. I wouldn't back them to get 35 in 5 overs even with 6 wickets normally.

Well, not totally. Probably 50/50 if they get it to that equation. Maybe I'm underestimating Canada's lower order, would love to be proven wrong.

But Pak still in with a shout. Canada closing in, they just need to get wickets. Get Gul on.
