Seeing as these "areas" I suspect you are referring to the use of possession throughout the game, I'm inclined to disagree, given that City did show some nice touches and passed the ball around well in the middle of the field, but this amounted to precisely nothing. Showing nice touches and pretty sideways passing does not amount to good use of possession, or anything like it. If this is what constitutes a good performance by any subjective standard then it really is lost on me. Apart from Silva's chance in the first half early on there were no desperate moments for the Man Utd defence, even the goal conceded was a total freak which can't be put down to anything other than good fortune on behalf of the attacking team, not the presence of poor defending. I'm sure that Man Utd will be pleased with the win, and they were made to work hard for it, but I doubt they'll consider themselves fortunate, for the reasons I've just stated.

Anyway, similarly to Halsey, this is tiresome, so no more posts from me on the matter either.
Believe me this was a good City performance, will defy anybody who watched the game to say we didn't play well. Think we did a bit more than "pretty sideways passing" and "showed some nice touches". Perhaps we did not create several clear cut chances, but thought we created better opportunities than Utd, and our overall play imo deserved to get us at least a share of the spoils.

Anyway, this debate is getting tiresome.

It was pretty similar to the traditional (losing) performances Arsenal put up every year at Old Trafford and Stamford Bridge.

I heart Kelly, but he's constantly being beaten for pace tonight.

Kuyt's final ball has been gash aswell. A bit nervous, would like a second goal.

Meireles off for Ngog. Spare me.

Haven't seen Ba's goal for Hammers, but I like him. Should've had one last week.

Orgasmic goal from Arsenal.

Wilshere. England should build their midfield around him for the next decade, will be such a shame if his talents get wasted like Scholes.

Indeed.

Lucas having one of his bad weeks. We need someone to step up and take control of midfield. Blerghhhhhhh

Ngog you hopeless nutter. Get off my pitch.

BLLERGHHHHHHHHH

EDIT: Get Ngog far, far away, and Kuyt on the bench. Maybe Maxi aswell. Maybe.

Poulsen to come on to complete the agony in the next five.

Jovanovic gets a chance, oooooh.

Commentator has confused Meireles and Skrtel throughout the game, despite Meireles having long sleeves, and being off 30 minutes ago. Doing my head in.

Decent performance Nath? I only caught the first ten minutes.
Would never call 1-1 to Wigan at Anfield a decent effort, haha. We deserved to win, Suarez hit the sticks twice, but we also mucked around a lot in the first half. The second half was like when we were playing under Roy - classless, aimless stuff. Midfield was dire.

I liked having five at the back Kenny. :(
