this Benett is a strange case goes from a useless trundler to a genuine quick on ball by ball case.

Oh, so close. Fine effort. Bennett bowling surprisingly well on a flat track with the new ball.

Great to see Franklin score some runs, and iirc it's NcCullum's first fifty - he's usually more of a quick 20 to 30-and-out kind of guy so can put him down as more of a stayer now.

Looks like we have a sniff in this match, especially if Pak keep giving away their wickets to Piggy.

So it's 10 overs from Styris and the bits-and-pieces today. This is the 'batting heavy' option for the World Cup, with the usual four bowlers (Mills replacing Bennett) and lots of batting (Ryder in for How obviously).

This would probably be our best team with the replacements you say.

10 overs combined from Franklin, Styris, Guptill and perhaps Taylor should be alright.

Yeah, I think the ideal side for the World Cup is:

Ryder
Guptill
Taylor
Styris
Franklin
McCullum
Oram
Vettori
McCullum
Mills
Southee

Batting from 1-11 and 8 bowling options. Really they should've been playing with that side right throughout the series (with Bennett and Woodcock getting a game or two each).
