awtaIdeally South Africa should be focusing on areas of their game where they need to be tested at. So bowling first, seeing who can operate at the death and not concede 30 runs from two overs and whether they can chase down totals in the face of 30 overs of spin. If the wickets are anything like Kingsmead then South Africa will walk this series and just go into the WC under a false sense of security.
Munaf was not bad either. They did. South African batsman couldn't get him of the square last time they faced him in India. Was the difference from South Africa chasing down 400+ totals. India should consider going in with just Zaheer as their only quick here. Losing Kumar was a huge blow.
Yep.Strangely didn't swing last night but the game was one by South Africa by the 35th over. Morne was awesome.
Game pretty much played out like the last completed ODI at Kingsmead.
1st ODI: South Africa v Australia at Durban, Apr 3, 2009 | Cricket Scorecard | ESPN Cricinfo
10th post with the same? We wouldn't know if India would have won the toss, needless to say ... . They would have lost as well and we would hear some other lame excuse.Too much being made of this match.
The toss is too important in a day/night match there at durban and it was the case once again.
Out of the last 15 games,12 matches have been won by the team winning the toss and one has been a draw.
Said the same before the match,tbh.10th post with the same? We wouldn't know if India would have won the toss, needless to say ... . They would have lost as well and we would hear some other lame excuse.
What about: The better team won!. Too much? Yeah ...
Thanks. I have no problem attesting that batting first in a day/night in Durban is an advantage.Said the same before the match, tbh.
So the same would have applied had the roles been reversed due to the toss.
A team really has to poor, and one out of their skins to overcome the toss in a day/nighter at Durban.
Like in 2003 world cup India defeated England by a big margin, but i would say the toss was a big advantage back then too.
I just don't like toss deciding matches in these day and nighters in Srilanka, and south africa and sometimes in India too .The ICC really needs to do something about it.
India have benefited with it in the past too.
He has been injured for quite a while now.how could dhoni say they are lack of seeming all rounder??... he must have forgotten Irfan who could be part of all format of games for India in such tough SA condition... He is the only perfect all rounder India has at the moment..
Good one dude, I have two you might like.Fun fact
Ind has only beaten SA in SA 3 times in odi's.
New Zealand?Fun fact one : Among the major teams, South Africa are the only ones without a single World Cup - neither THE World Cup nor the T20 World Cup (*cough* choke *cough*)

Fun fact one : South Africa have not won a single World Cup - neither THE World Cup nor the T20 World Cup (*cough* choke *cough*).
Fun fact two : A poster - goodness knows what his name is - disappears whenever South Africa get smashed
Yea, we beat you guys (India) in the final.Didn't Newzealand win a champions trophy, though?
