last 6 overs were pretty good for pak with t20 style shots coming in :)...........I think the day belonged to Pak. The good thing that they did was to roll over the Kiwis quickly. TAnvir Ahmed looks like a very lucky bowler

I could catch only the end of NZ's Innings today.

How do people rate Tanvir Ahmed as a bowler?

rubbish.

Good comeback by Misbah and Asad hopefully we can get a lead of 80-100 and then can put pressure on NZL tommorow.

Ever since I first saw Asad in the SA ODI series, I was very impressed. Far better batsman than U.Akmal.

BTW does Kane chuck it?
Nah still think Umer is more talented but not test cricket ready yet, Asad is a decent little batsman with a good temperament still few technical issues which can be sorted in time hopefully he will not catch the disease that plague most young Pakistani batsman

Misbah! leading from the front..good stuff...

Pak in a good position to force a favorable result in this test...that would be so sweet..

Shafiq is doing great and hope he continues....but what i really enjoyed was Toufee's fifty...he played some lovely strokes it was so refreshing to see a Pak opener play freely and with some authority.

Tanvir already has 10 wickets @ 21 in 2 matches.

Does anyone think he's actually good or is it the general consensus that he's incredibly lucky?

He lacks pace for sure...but i wouldn't say he is rubbish at all. He did well against a full strength SA batting line up on pretty flat surface....not rubbish in my books but will have a short career...

 Asad has the best technique in the whole Pakistani line-up atm, yes even better than Khan.

Things just didn't go New Zealand's way today, and now it'll be a tough road to get out of this match without losing. Have to come out firing tomorrow morning if we're to have any chance. Take the new ball, make the early break through, and hope the tail doesn't wag too much. Then it's up to the batsmen not to **** things up on the second go round.

Felt really sorry for Southee today. I've been keen to get stuck into him in recent times, but he was comfortably the best of New Zealand's bowlers today. Made the batsmen play and miss, and had a couple of good-ish lbw shouts turned down. He was also the only bowler to get the ball to reverse appreciably. Hope he grabs a couple tomorrow.

He does look extremely lucky to me with his wicket taking deliveries, I wonder how he long his luck will carry him forward. But he does put the ball in the right areas more often than not but that doesn't make him the sort of bowler who can run through batting line ups.

Xuhaib for some reason hates him with a passion. I wonder what's the reason though????

I think Southee was comfortably their best batsman as well yesterday

any chase above 150 is advantage NZL so game is still even with probably NZL slightly ahead don't why Pakistan keep on inserting the oppo even though they loose countless games batting 4th.

this is actally a great batting track but neither team is good eough to exploit the conditions.

all of pakistan's wickets were soft dismissals - also in part due to NZ building up the pressure for a period and pak kind of crumbled.

but that really is pak's fault - taufeq in particular needed to rotate the strike more often, allowed the pressure to build up, kind of threw away a really great start.

i think tomorrow NZ will come out like they did in the second session - to squeeze the runs and induce pak batsmen to throw away their wicket.

but on the other hand if pak batsmen can ROTATE THE STRIKE then there will be big runs available eventually as the NZ bowlers tire out.

235/4 is a fair score tbh. Could easily push for 400.
you must be quite happy that Misbah is doing really well while most of the other posters believe (and for good reason) that Misbah is ****

And yeah tbh 235 for 4 is pretty decent at this point if you consider the **** Pak side that is playing

have not seen enough of the game to make a complete judgement but from the little I see it seems a good reverse swing pitch if Pakistan can get a 100 run lead both Wahab and Gul could be vital in the 2nd innings, hopefull Gul is on in the 2nd innings he seldom is these days.
