Nah, just needs some wickets, for Tasmania mainly. He was injured for most of last year, thrown back into the Test side and expected to take wickets. Big ask with no form to speak of.Yeah, but he bowls well.
Surely he's played his last test.
Yeah and it's also complete rubbish as it turns outSmall sample size tbf.
No, definitely what they said.My statsguru research has revealed that this is a load of crap. I may have mis-heard
Why? Australia would kill to have been able to pick Vettori for the last 3 years or so, even if you discount his batting.Beer reminds me of Vettori, not really a good sign
Disagree. Yes be positive (and preferably avoid the fielders) but no point throwing it away. Let's get the lead up to 350.Oh Bressy just give it a whack for us. Keeps finding fielders.
True for the state we are in atm. Personally don't rate him though. Why? Australia would kill to have been able to pick Vettori for the last 3 years or so, even if you discount his batting.
Absolutely agree with this. Oz selectors do seem to play favourites. Hauritz seems the latest in a line of blokes whose face/personality doesn't quite fit so is excluded for lesser players.Nah, just needs some wickets, for Tasmania mainly. It's a continuation of the selector's trend in picking blokes they like rather than guys who are actually in form. Hughes and Smith, woefully short of form and confidence, *boom* Test spot.
This **** has been done to death though. And inevitably, if it's someone from the team the commentator supports it's "oh they didn't know it bounced, very hard to tell coming forward" etc. Yet when it's am opposing player it's "he definitely knew it bounced, how can't he know? He's a cheat etc".Both stands by his words. "Hughes is a cheat sez Sir Ian": official.
No way Hughes's fingers were under it as far as I can see tho.
I don't think they can, no.Absolutely agree with this. Oz selectors do seem to play favourites. Hauritz seems the latest in a line of blokes whose face/personality doesn't quite fit so is excluded for lesser players.
Can Australia really afford to do it anymore now tho? When the likes of Law, Love & Hodge were (maybe) never given a fair crack for reasons other than cricketing ones the competition was a lot fiercer.
I don't mean be reckless, but if the spinner drops it short and wide make sure you make the most of it.Disagree. Yes be positive (and preferably avoid the fielders) but no point throwing it away. Let's get the lead up to 350.

It rank stuff, assuming botham is being accurately reported here (and i don't doubt he is). If cook says hughes told him he wasn't sure on the field and has no problem with it, well it ill-behoves a bloke in the comm box to say otherwise.
He is standing by it, the mans a **** and an egotist, why let this get in the way of a great series win. Just say you were being hasty in your judgment and we can move on. I also thought Athers was a bit churlish banging on about Ian Bell, not convinced he wouldn't of done any different, as Huss hinted at.This shot has been done to death though.
