*Official* India in South Africa

Pathetic decisions really. It's a joke that India aren't agreeing to the UDRS system, it has ruined what would have been a cracking day of cricket.

Lol @ Cenvo trying to defend the umpiring. Shocker.

I want to see Boucher's dismissal again. The ball definitely looked to be coming back into the right-hander. Maybe not enough, but Hawkeye's projected path looked way off.

EDIT: Hang on, I have Sky Plus....

2nd EDIT: Yeah, it's coming back in big time. Sorry, but the technology's wrong there. Height the issue, as I said.

I am not trying to defend the umpiring.

Not i am talking about these decisions specifically either.

Can't find a example at the moment.

But in a case the batsmen is given not out but the hawkeye says it is hitting the stumps ,then there have been cases where after calling it marginal the original decision has stood ,due to uncertainty.
When it is marginal, i.e half the balls width, the original decision stands every single time. I don't see how that is seen as an incorrect decision.

If you are complaining about those examples then you are missing the point of the UDRS.

Let's not forget the 1 against India. Prince was out lbw to Harbhajan earlier today.
I think that one demonstrates the need for UDRS just as badly. The umpire doesn't really have any choice but to give it not-out because it could have been missing, could have been outside the line and could have hit the bat, but with technology they can always get those ones right for the first time in cricketing history. I just don't get why the BCCI would choose not to use it..

Yeah but that doesn't apply when it's missing the stumps. If it's missing the stumps it's not out and that's that.
But there have been cases as well where it was given out and it was shown missing the stumps and after calling it marginal ,the original decision stood.

WTF don't they? Just seems mental not to eradicate the poor decisions when a complete novice on his/her couch can see whether it's out or not.

Cricinfo said it hit him outside the line anyway?

Hmm you might be thinking of an example from the earlier days of UDRS... that definitely doesn't happen anymore.

Don't be a joker, not when it's missing the stumps altogether. Not your best 5 mins tbh, completely lost the plot.

I actually want UDRS, have said it numerous times.

But don't think we can completely rely on the hawkeye and the ICC rightly doesn't either.

It has shown some real weird paths with swing and spin in the past with the commentators commenting upon it too.
Even on Indian wickets with uneven bounce a ball going low has been previously shown to be going over the top of the stumps when after pitching it has hit the pad soon.
