Looks like the bowl was going over the top... lucky break there.
Good bowl though....

Yea, that was high. Very unlucky.

This is disappointing. ICC get on the ball and make it part of the rules that UDRS must be used even if all the technology (e.g hotspot) is not available at every ground. Hawk-Eye seems to be available at most games, and that's certainly better than nothing.

Was going high but didn't look bad in real time. Anyway obviously a huge wicket for India. They have certainly had their share of the luck in this game.

Not sure it would have been changed if they had UDRS too.

Was it conclusive?
Wasn't even close to hitting the stumps tbh.

In fairness to the umpire it wasn't necessarily obvious real time. Pitched very full but still hit the batsman on the front foot high on the pad so the angle of the bounce was clearly taking it over, but tough one to get right.

India will win here, can't see anybody really taking South Africa to victory now AB's gone.

Not sure about that.

Actually Harbhajan is better on pitches with bounce.

Kumble didn't really have much turn. The reason he got 600 wickets is because of his bounce. His deliveries pretty much exploded off the pitch if there was uneven bounce.

Both the Zaheer and AB decisions were textbook examples of why UDRS is better. Difficult to decide in real time but completely clear with replays.

Yes.

They check for no balls. Then they check where it pitched. Then they check if he hit it. And then they check if it would have hit the stumps.
They check the where the ball is going, but don't neccesarily give decisions based on it though.

It may be clearer in this case.

But in many cases the bowl has been shown to be hitting or missing the stumps and according to that the incorrect decision has stood.
There are cases as well where hawkeye has shown some ridiculous tracks of deliveries when all logic says it would have done something else.
