He is allowed to do that with NO Balls now, if he is in doubt.Umpire himself reviewed without UDRS!
Happened in the England - Australia test too where dar reviewed it and it cost Johnson the wicket of prior.

No, they couldn't. The ball wasn't on such a short length that you'd expect to be able to duck it. By the time you realized the ball was just rearing up and started ducking, it'd hit you in the throat or head.

On watching it through hawkeye and replays again, you are actually right specially with some keeping just a tad low too.
