Hopefully having a really good total to defend for the first time this series will give our bowlers a confidence boost.

Well, New Zealand may have found that finisher I said they lacked. Couldn't be happier that it's Franklin; I've always loved the guy. If this can make him believe in his batting at international level it'll do a lot more than just give New Zealand something to bowl at in a dead rubber ODI.
And to think, he should've been out third ball.

Well we are supposed to have the number one and the former number one ODI bowlers Vettori and Mills in our line up. Hopefully they step up to the plate.

Some lovely shots in Franklin's innings of 98, his timing looked beautiful. If he makes contributions like this more consistently, can be a real player for NZ, combined with his medium paced offerings. It does look a very flat pitch though, not much happening off the seam for the quicker men.

Hopefully he can stick around for 3-4 years and start to string together some consistent performances. He's capable.

Struggling out there.

NZ really should walk this. But unfortunately for them India have Virat Kohli, who doesn't believe in going out until he crosses 100.

Edit: Lol, Parthiv two boundaries as I type this.
