Australia to cancel bangladesh again

What a disgrace from Australia. Should be fined and suspended by the ICC, and Burgey should be imprisoned (separate reasons but felt it worth a mention).

Australia cancelled bangladeshes tour to oz for 2 tests, now they have cancelled this tour.
India does the same kind of thing they pcik and choose who they will play.
Also new itinnery comes in 2012,so no time to catch up on these 2 series.

Don't think a tour of Australia would be as helpful on the development of Bangladesh as playing NZ, WI and Pakistan would be.

They shouldn't be stripped of test status. Bang vs the likes of Afghanistan (not saying they are bad), Kenya, Scotland etc is going to be the same as Aus vs Bang tbh.. Stick to the three mentioned teams and they should be fine.

Still, the cancelling of this tour for such a reason was ****ed up

Don't believe me?

Keiron Pollard
Adrian Barath
Kemar Roach
Mohmd. Aamer
Umar Akmal
Asad Shafiq
etc

I don't follow Pak and WI domestic cricket much but clearly right there I have given you examples of players that could easily replace most of BD Test players.
Shakib Al Hasan better than all of them, comfortably.

Which doesn't disprove my point, any of these youngsters can replace most of the current BD Test players.
Phil Hughes, Usman Khwaja and Time Paine would all slot into the Pakistani line up. Therefore, Pakistan aren't Test standard.

Pretty dodgy argument. Give me any test team in the world and I could probably find 6 or 7 players from around the world who could replace players in that team, because no one has a monopoly on talent.

Oh FFS andy, I have already explained this to you.

That post was in reply to centurymaker who said BD have more young talented players than Pak and WI. Which is simply not the case.

I was not using that argument to say that BD should be stricken of it's Test status.

My arguments for that are:
1- BD have shown no progress and are still dire.
2- Strong teams vs Bangladesh are non-competetive and are killing Test cricket.
3- BD would improve quicker if they actually won more and played games against teams their own level.
4- BD winning against NZ 4-0 means nothing, and simply is a knee-jerk reaction from all of you. There were calls for them to have their Test status removed during the series against England and I don't see why that should be changed just because they won an ODI series at home against a weak NZ side. Their players have not suddenly improved just because of 1 series.

Again it is not even an argument. Was just a reply to centurymaker's post.

Just to settle the confusion:

Do you have any idea how many teenagers would've been inspired by their 4-0 win??
They're likely to unearth more talent in the near future. Their future looks more promising than West Inidies and Pakistan to say the least.
Lol how wrong you are. I can name many young WI and PAK players that have 10x more talent than the current Bangladeshi Test players.

Although it answers Centurymakers comment it in no way tells us that Bangladesh should lose their Test status. I've yet to see you come up with a logical argument as to why they should lose it now after they have started improving (They have started improving over the last year this is in no way a "knee jerk reaction")

As soon as you post that you've shown how completely and utterly out of touch you are with it.

Mind you, that's not surprising seeing as anything that isn't Australian cricket isn't worth thinking about and Australia haven't played Bangladesh recently (not since Bangladesh weren't a million miles away from beating an Australian side that was much stronger than the current side actually)

Yer that's why they have only won 1 Test, against Zimbabwe too.
Yes but their performances have been improving. Take the series against England this year and compare it to Bangladesh 2005. I know which team is a hell of alot better.

 I am the only one here backing up my arguments and the rest of you are just saying they have improved without any reasoning what-so-ever.

Tamim Iqbal - One of the best young talents around.

Shakib - 2nd best test spinner currently after Swann, the best bowling allrounder after vettori.

Junaid Siddique, Imrul kayes etc are doing decent as well.

Ain't this improvement for you? 2 damn good players and decentish middle order. Could bangladesh have dreamed this 2 years back?

They had Ashrafool who looked a great prospect when he got that 100 against Australia. Then he turns to trash. Improvement?

Siddique and Kayes are rubbish.

Tamim and Shakib are their only decent players. Which isn't any different to any other associate team atm.
