Many people over the different ranges of cricket forums are prone to knee-jerk reactions. And I can give you many examples If you want. So just because Bangladesh beat NZ 4-0 at home doesn't mean they have improved. I can recall to you Australia had hiccups touring Bangladesh in 2006 too. When Bangladesh were playing England and were so so so dire, commentators and the wide public were saying they do not deserve to have the Test status and series with Bangladesh were killing Test cricket. Un-like most of you here I don't forget these things so quickly and my opinions are not based on knee-jerk reactions.

Proving my point. This wasn't the case when Bangladesh vs England series were happening.

Doesn't. Just saying there is method to my madness...
That was based on the fact that pacers always perform well in WC's. Most people just took the pace vs spin records at WI grounds. Which is the wrong way to look at it.
Similarly here just because Bangladesh beat NZ 4-0 doesn't mean they improved, they will continue to be mediocre if you actually look at their individual player performances, rather then a result of a meaningless series.

Meaning you memory isn't working properly. Yeah Tamim was a great talent but if you don't remember there were many calls for BD to lose it's Test status during the England series for 2 reasons:
1. They only had 2 decent players, all were rubbish to be frank.
2. Series with strong teams were lovering the standard of cricket, and putting Test cricket in danger.
This is a typical knee-jerk reaction.

Think most people on CW were quite interested in that series tbh, especially with Tamim gunning it. Can't remember seeing many people calling for their status to be stripped.

My memory isn't failing me at all, I've rated Tamim since his partnership with Siddique in Dunedin 2008 and rated Shakib since the same tour (albeit for ODIs). Yeah some members have called for them to be stripped of Test status but myself and many who actually follow Bangladeshi cricket have seen them improve a great amount since 2007.
At home they're a genuine threat.

Only natural considering it is HGA and that your team just got hammered 4-0. Of course that would have anything to do with you defending the Bangladeshi's right?
