Has to be said Haddin's straight driving is as good as anyone's. That shot he played at the WACA the other night was sublime.
Recall one he played against NZ. Lazy, lazy little check drive and the ball sails right out of the ground. Extraordinary timing when he gets it right.

Anyone else getting no ads from channel 9?

The goods.

Bounce from Malinga. Watson dislikes.

Watto's all over the place ATM.

Not Haddin though.

Shot. Nice to see.

EDIT: Ah, it's started already...

Because it's not like Clarke scored a ton in his last ODI a week ago and Marsh certainly didn't score over 200 runs in his last FC match which was like three days ago.
To be fair I'd certainly agree with Hodge being a better one day batsman than Marsh, particularly when batting in the top three.

Hodge can blame whoever he likes for not being in the ODI team, though - he just didn't score enough runs when he was in it. Different story in Tests of course but it's hard to make a case for him being particularly unlucky in ODIs when you look at his record - particularly in India where the next World Cup is.

So would I but the insinuation that Marsh shouldn't be anywhere near the setup is very harsh.

Watson's really struggling at the moment. Trying to cut or flick everything and timing nothing.

Playing Marsh AND Clarke seems ITSTL.
Marsh is fine when he bats down the order; he can really launch. He doesn't score freely against the new ball though. Frankly though, no-one in the country barring Watson, Haddin, Ponting and Hodge can really push it along against the new ball unless you count Warner, or Jaques circa 2006/07.

Marsh is a hilarious T20 bat, he's about the only T20 opener in the world who scores quicker in the 2nd 10 than the first 10 overs.

Haha, that was coming for a long time. Playing across the line like that is bound to get you in trouble.

Watson's back leg keeps on collapsing, rather than standing tall over the ball. Means he tries to run more balls than he should down to third man.

Ah well, he's gone now, well bowled by Malinga.

Wonder where Marsh will bat. Hope it's five or six; he looks so much more comfortable down there. That said, so do White and Hussey.
