*Official* New Zealand in Bangladesh 2010

Agreed! And there goes Mahmudullah now to Hamish Bennett! Even Naeem Islam could have done MUCH better in this situation *MEH*!
To be fair, Mahmudullah was exactly what was needed when he came out - another wicket there and Bangladesh were in serious trouble but he stuck in with Shakib. Ideally though he'd have done that batting four so the team wouldn't have been under so much pressure, obviously...

Anyway, Magpies taking wickets! Yus!

Just dire, utterly dire power play batting to match an unspeakably dire decision to take the PP in the 45th over.

You'd reasonably expect 240 to be enough but we needed 260 to really be in the box seat I reckon. All it takes is a couple of high class knocks from Taylor and one of McCullum and Vettori (and Williamson, who's surely due to stop failing soon) and they can haul this in.

Classic Bennett there. Expensive but bowls some jaffas in between. Good test prospect where he can be protected a bit more and bowl as aggressively as he likes.

Though a possible test debut in India is a bit scary.

What's his OD average from the past two years like now?:p He's got more wickets in one ODI than he did in two years of List A.

Have to admit I was wrong about Bennett. Top debut, and have to give credit to the selectors for picking him.

If he can some consistency with that yorker, he could become a class death bowler. Who'd have thought?

He's the next best thing. Best new bowler of 2010 IMO. He's gonna do great things.

Well, he has a few years of **** behind him and 2 wickets were tailenders. I think he's quite a good prospect for tests but I'm not sold on ODIs yet. We weren't wrong to be skeptical.

Hopefully he's one of those rare players who performs better at the top level than the domestic level.

Except tests, because if he translates his recent FC record to tests I'll be pretty happy.:p

Mahmudullah is not a tailender.
