*Official* New Zealand in Bangladesh 2010

Fine.. I would like you to say the same things when Bangladesh gets routed in 3 days in New Zealand...that it was not good bowling from New Zealand but just plain pathetic batting from Bangladeshi batsmen who cant play swing or seam.
I would also like you to say the same thing about the England - Pakistan series...that Anderson and Broad were just ordinary but it was the pathetic batting of the Pakistani batsmen that led to them picking up wickets..
Same goes for Tendulkar's recent double century...that it was not great batting but just plain lousy bowling from Nathan Hauritz, George, Johnson and Hilfenhaus..

I am not saying Shuvo is the next great spinner in the world after Murali..I know he got those wickets because NZ cant play spin.. but so do a lot of other 'big' players from 'bigger' nations because of something lacking in the opposition. I don't see that being mentioned.

Haha, I don't think many New Zealanders will disagree with you, just quietly.

True, since Bond retired. We don't have many bowlers that can actually make things happen. Most just seem to be consistently decent, waiting for a batsman to make a mistake.

Hmm...

Chris Martin: If I bowl well outside off stump, they're sure to knick one eventually!
Tim Southee: Swing! Swing! Swing!
Daryl Tuffeh: Seam it on off stump
James Franklin: I bowl?

I think i'd be the first to say it wasn't great bowling, but rather the Bangladesh batsmen have deficiencies on anything that has a bit of pace and bounce. I have no problem admitting our bowling attack is incredibly pop-gun at the moment.

No where did I say Shuvo was ordinary, I said he bowled well. Also i'd have no problem saying Anderson and Broad were made to look better than they actually were through poor batting, however I saw very little of that series so can't really comment, likewise with the Tendulkar double ton, however I find it hard to believe it was a poor knock because firstly Tendulkar is arguably the 2nd best batsman to ever play the game and that Australian attack wasn't half bad.

Why would that get mentioned? Other nations aren't playing, this is NZ vs Bangladesh.

He was being sarcastic!

Shuvo kept a very, very nagging straight line! Murali once commented on why Shakib is s good and at times unplayable...his comment went something like this "Shakib can be so dangerous because of his variations and tight line"...Shuvo is not a big turner, does not have much variation either...but he bowls straighter and slower than Shakib, and NZ seem to implode against any sort of spin it seems.

You never said he bowled bad, but the argument he is trying to make is that you are undermining Shuvo a bit more than is necessary mate, that's all :)!

Better performance from Mills so far today.

Bennett, Redmond and Williamson all playing.

About time Kayes put one of those leg side stump balls away, Tuffey's been pretty average this morning tbh. Way to legside.

5.2 Bennett to Raqibul Hasan, no run, 142.5kph, good pace, outside off, defended into the covers

Ooh. Not bad for the second ball of your ODI career. Has already conceded a boundary, though.

I chuckled when his first ball was faster then anything McKay has dished up so far in this series.

Pretty meh first over though.
