Elliot looks utter, utter crap. Tries some pitiful defense and gets out.
I've been a big fan of his (as an ODI player) for a while, but he has looked a shadow of his former self since coming back from injury. The selectors' patience must be wearing thin. But on the other hand, is there any obvious candidate to replace him?

Just too bad none of the other batsman could show the same amount of backbone as Ross Taylor did with the bat.

This loss isn't hurting which is surprising. I find it hilarious more than anything. I guess I used all my pain receptor thingys up in the Champions League. Specifically when we got Mendis'd.

****ing Bangalore. ****ing injuries.

The worst part is how since this is against us Bangers will get no credit for being ****ing decent.

Yeah. After a good lol at NZ the commentators of the world will say they've proven nothing because they only beat a hard working bunch of honest triers with good team spirit.

Bangladesh are on the rise. They're still piss poor away from home, but their ODI attack is ****ing gun on the subcontinent. They're beating us with their best batsman and best quick injured.

They're definitely an alright team at home. I'm very happy to see Nafees back in the runs as well.

well done Bangladesh and that too without the best batsman and best fast bowler.

Keep playing like this and continue to shame and humiliate all those cricket fans, commentators, players, analysts who add with disdain "performances excluding Bangladesh and Zimbabwe"

Congratulations...

Shuvo is a great find... Bangladesh have the best spin attack in the world today.. I have been saying for quite some time that Shakib al Hasan is the best spinner in the world after Muralitharan and now with Murali gone..he is the best..
He is better than Harbhajan, better than Vettori, better than Swann.

I think he is better than Swann..He has 6-7 wicket hauls against India and Sri lanka...two of the best players of spin.. Swann is yet to be tested against those two. But yeah I can understand how many might still feel that Swann is ahead.. Well I am happy to discuss this further in 2 years time with Shakib having played more.

To put irrotev's epic pessimism into some sort of context, here's what he said before the series:

irottev said:
We should still comfortably beat them, and being the sub continent it's great preparation for a young player - especially a spinner.
irottev said:
They don't have Iqbal. If we lose we may as well not show up to the world cup. There is no excuse.
irottev said:
We might lose a game, but to lose the series, well that would be...unbelievable so it's probably a safe comment.
irottev said:
They've never won a series have they? Vs a top country. I know they've won the odd game. Like 1 vs Australia and ****, but never a proper series. Would be pretty unbelievable without their best (or second best) player
He under-rated them. Now he's over-reacting. Not surprised.
