Yeah, was only going by Wiki saying he was a winger - just knew he'd been getting some big wraps in recent weeks.Yeah, I never thought he was a winger. But he could be the only one Marc means, surely?

Owen is fit right now & hasn't had any injury problems this season.Based on what?
At least Davies is fit enough to play regularly.
roseboy said:Davies been one of the best target men in England for years now. Justified selection. SWP though? Clearly Downing would have been better.
As i said, only on CW with specific posters like yourself, would this even be a debate. You never began to talk about his eligibility for England, but yet you proclaimed how wonderful it would be if he were English? I assume you therefore wish he was English for something other than footballing reasons.
And no, I imagine Giggs would have been very useful for England. I'm also very upset that Zidane, Rivaldo and Oliver Khan couldn't play for England too. Not to mention Puskas, who would definitely be a part of my England all time XI if he had played for them I am sure.
But yet you still demonstrate a total inability to explain your original point. I'm not entirely sure how even with your prodigal detective skills you've worked out that I post specifically on Cricketweb either, but I'll let that slide, as I doubt your answer to that would be anymore convincing than what you've said with regards to why it would be great for a load of non-English players to play for England. As i said, only on CW with specific posters like yourself, would this even be a debate.
My original point/wish that Bale was ENG is very straigforward point that outside of the CW bubble with posters such as yourself, wouldn't need explaining. But yet you still demonstrate a total inability to explain your original point. Well since I'm such a moron, why don't you actually explain yourself, rather than serving up the same old drivel. I don't care how many articles there are saying how people wish he was English. I could probably find several articles proclaiming how wonderful it would have been if Pele was English. The bottom line of my point, is that Bale is not English, and he is no more English than someone from Viet Nam or Peru, and henceforth crying about him not being English is a lost cause. But of course you've totally ignored this like you usually do when you encounter a question you can't answer, an approach you will doubtless adopt again when replying to this post. Come down to my Uni and enter the mooting competition, I'd love a spot of flat track bullying to warm myself up for the coming year.My original point/wish that Bale was ENG is very straigforward point that outside of the CW bubble with posters such as yourself, wouldn't need explaining.
Tottenham 3 Blackburn 1: Fabio Capello, you must wish Gareth Bale was English | Mail Online
It?s a Shame Spurs Star Gareth Cannot Bale Out England this Summer
Jamie Redknapp's Weekend Watch: Tottenham's Gareth Bale finally showing his true colours | Mail Online
Plus i believe their is lamebook gorup called "I Wish Gareth Bale Was English, he's wasted being Welsh".
So basically if you dont understand where myself, those journalist, Harry Redkanpp & other ENG fans are coming from. I cannot help you.
It's no different to sledger's facetious point about how he wishes David Villa was English. My original point/wish that Bale was ENG is very straigforward point that outside of the CW bubble with posters such as yourself, wouldn't need explaining.

Yes, your inability to accept defeat is well documented. Please dont call yourself a moron.
I dont ever ignore questions from anyone. I am one of the pioneers of endless mutli-quoting in CW history, which would clearly suggest i never back down from an argument.
Given the obvious connection Wales and England has. Wishing a welch player could play for ENG is obviously different from wishing a Spanish, Brazilian etc could play for us. Which again would be clearly understood outside the CW bubble with specific posters..
Since you're such a fan of links, here's one which actually makes a lot of sense.Plus of course Davies is 33 & againts a mediocre opposition lke Montenegro, such a stop gap options over Owen or the youth of Caroll is poor choice.
I disagree with my favourite sports journalist Mr.McNulty for once, for reasons i already stated. ENG need to forgot about using target-men.Since you're such a fan of links, here's one which actually makes a lot of sense.

How would you know. You couldn't last one paragraph in robust cricketchat debate, this is why you have retreated to hiding away in off-topic all these years.Yes, your inability to accept defeat is well documented.
Can't help you with this one. Some things should have been thought since school or maybe in your usual mooting competition preparation classes @ Uni.The obvious connections? Do explain, I'm not sure what these are exactly.
Yet you were calling for Carroll to be picked...I disagree with my favourite sports journalist Mr.McNulty for once, for reasons i already stated. ENG need to forgot about using target-men.
Nothing wrong with copping a feel itbt.Apparently there is a war going on in the Liverpool BoardRoom with regards to a takeover.
Leaving that alone,anyone seen this?-

Seems the Female Referee enjoyed being Groped.LOL
No one really knows right now too much on them right now, seen some positive quotes how they conduct them selves in charge of the red sox.Apparently Liverpool are sold to the Boston Red Sox's owners. Anyone have any good info on them and whether that's a good move?
He's a serious owner. He's very interested in winning and maxamizing his investment, realizing that the two go hand in hand. He's occasionally sloppy with his communication tactics, but he also spends a lot of money and brings in good talent. Overall I have been impressed with this ownership group. They took on the challenge of winning a championship for a team that had not won for 86 seasons prior and won two championships in a 4 year period.
