In the champions league. He had an elbow niggle that was troubling him for a while and eventually it got worse and now Tait is having surgery, he is due back in December. When and how was Tait injured? Don't recall this for some reason.
Haha, he actually had a decent period on the field after he retired from first class cricket for the Redbacks. Since then he has played nearly all the short format games for the Redbacks and more recently the CL and the ODI's and 2020's against Pak and England. When was Tait fit?
He's busy preparing for the biggest assignment of his career.
The HRV Cup!
Tbf he is picking the wrong team, so it makes it harder for him to get to the CL.
Though if he bowls badly he'll blend right in with those Cantabrian piechuckers.
Very highly rated by some knowledgeable people - "hits bat hard, good areas" etcCopeland.
It's crazy when you consider NSW still have Henriques, ****ley, O'Keefe as players who have gone on Australian tours.I'd take all of the following bowlers from NSW ahead of Starc in a one dayer presuming full fitness:
Bollinger
Lee
Hauritz
Bracken
Clark
Copeland
Hazelwood
Watson
Cameron would be a 50/50 call.
Admittedly, very few of those players are actually fit, but surely the other states must have a couple of bowlers.
Srsly, class player and all that but in a way it's the dumbest selection ever.In the champions league. He had an elbow niggle that was troubling him for a while and eventually it got worse and now Tait is having surgery, he is due back in December.

Haha yeah, But I expect Tait to be match fit by that time, obviously that doesn't mean much when you are Shaun Tait because you can break down at any time.Srsly, class player and all that but in a way it's the dumbest selection ever.
Bennett, Sherlock and Anderson are not known for their clean injury records. In fact, Sherlock barely plays any cricket at all.
So who do they pick as their overseas player?
Will be absolutely awesome if Tait comes in full form though. Blokes like Brad Wilson were backing away from Shane Bond last year. I think Tait might kill someone. Can't wait.
I think he'll kill Auckland tbh. In the final last year on a very quick wicket Mason and Napier had a field day. Several dudes got rings on the helmet iirc, and that was a side with several Black Cap batsmen and ex-batsmen.Haha yeah, But I expect Tait to be match fit by that time, obviously that doesn't mean much when you are Shaun Tait because you can break down at any time.
I don't the NZ crowds will treat Australian players in their domestic competition nicely will they? Especially profile ones like Tait. Pitches aren't slow in either in NZ so yeah expect Tait to wreck havoc.
There's an hour highlights programme advertised for 5.30pm on Sky Sports 3.To any and all UK members, do you know when highlights are, on SkySports, and what channel they are on?
No way. North is a lost cause, even if he gets a 100, it will just mean there will be another 10 failed performances until his next one. I say pick Smith for the second test. There are no guarantees he will perform well, but who really cares? The series at best will be a draw, the Indians have already retained the trophy, and Aus are 4th in the test rankings. The way I see it, we have nothing really to lose and should be making most of the opportunity to experiment before the ashes.Anyway, if it comes down to a straight choice between North and Smith for the second test, I'd pick the former every day of the week atm as he is due a score, far more likely to ton up, and his bowling was largely irrelevant in the first test
What's the point in organizing a 3 match series when you know that after 2 matches one team will get an unassailable leadAmazing finish to an entertaining match. It's probably been said a hundred times, but I wish this was not just a 2 match series!
Not without precedent.Clarke - what the **** are you doing mate? You're in top form but you're just doing the most moronic things at the crease.
Brilliant, thank you. There's an hour highlights programme advertised for 5.30pm on Sky Sports 3.
belated birthday wishes andyc. hope you had a blast.Hell of a game though, wow. Having watched pretty much all of the first three days, I was annoyed at having to head to Sydney yesterday to see the folks for my birthday.
