*Official* Australia in India 2010

This match showed how close the sides are, and if India come out of this series with a 2-0 win looking like world beaters I will be seriously miffed. They are a good team, but they are not deserving of a concrete no. 1 ranking. It is obvious that there is little to choose between India, Aus, and SA.
and England.

Should have won comfortably? Did you only watch the last session and a half?

That match ebbed and flowed the whole time. It was a classic.
Considering they were 8 down still needing another 90 odd, you should have won.

No denying it wasn't a classic though.

Laxman!

What a legend! Over 10 years of performing at the highest level possible against Australia. Freaking unbelievable! What an innings with bad back and all! Ishant Sharma can also take a bow. He really contributed so much with both bat and ball in this innings.

Definitely one of the best test matches I've ever seen and this is really what test cricket needed. When it's done right, it's the best form of cricket bar none. VVS Laxman, you're an absolute champion!

So pumped right now and I haven't been this pumped about a victory since India chased down that 380 odd against England at Chennai in 2008. Absolutely fantastic moment for VVS Laxman and Indian Cricket.

Pretty dire stuff to be talking about Test cricket being unhealthy now. Never been healther in my lifetime IMO.

Individual performances and team results apart, it's a good advertisement for Test cricket. After that mess in a series prior to this one, it's a good comeback.

The Aussies played better cricket from one to eleven, with no stragglers in their ranks. Their strike bowlers struck better, their support bowlers gave more, and every batsman in the order did his bit. The only exception, maybe, was Hauritz. Mitchell Johnson, awarded for his double, had a great match, and is surely one vital component of a strong Aussie team.

Gutted really. After being only 2 wickets from victory this is terrible. An attack that let's a tailender like Sharma survive that many balls has to look at itself. Yes they were great altogether but when we should have really tightened the screws we let the runs accumulate.

Great innings by Laxman. Bevanesque-ass-saving innings.
