Would get Johnson on early tomorrow, see if he can scare out a couple of batters/draw a bad decision whilst there's still runs to play with. Worst situation for him would be if you need to manufacture a wicket and there's < 50 runs to go.

Nah, drop one of them for a batting allrounder who bowls a bit of leg spin. Herp derp etc etc.
Dunno if you were refering to me, but I never explicitly said to replace Hilfenhaus with Smith, and I also wasn't expecting the pitch to be as it is now.

Regardless though, you don't know how Smith would have bowled against India. He could have got 6 wickets for all you know. Even a part-timer like North was pretty successful. And also this match will go down to the wire in terms of runs, so having Smith in the side could have easily have boosted Australia's lead by a fair few runs (if he was on song).

Refer to PEWS' posts during that time tbh.
What, when the commentators were saying it was reversing but it was seaming? Nah, was definitely some reverse. The balls that got Dravid, Dhoni and Zaheer went with the shine.

Didn't get it going as consistently as someone like Zaheer, but.

It was definitely reversing but not late reverse swinging as Zaheer was getting to do it.............

Yeah, but Dhoni and Zaheer went after 100 overs and Dravid was gone after 60 overs. I was just saying they won't be getting early reverse swing.

Bollinger definitely capable of reverse swing on demand when the conditions suit.

Johnson - who knows. He's capable of basically anything, whether he can deliver is another matter.

So close to snaring Zaheer in the dying overs so I really hope he'll be on song

If Tendulkar wins India this game, considering his 98 in the first Innings and the situation atm, It might well be his best test batting performance IMO.

backing Australia with Sachin the biggest hurdle though its not a minefield but its probably the worst 4 innings track you can get in modern day cricket.Inconsistent bounce, decent turn and lot of reverse if you can exploit it.

Apparently if India pull this off, it will be the 4th highest run chase in India ever. So my money is firmly on the Aussies, especially since they are already 4 down, and Tendulkar just coming off a 98. If Tendulkar scores big AGAIN and takes his team to victory, he truly is the master.

Was not impressed with his batting in the first dig. Could have easily got 150 and his team to a stronger position if he had accelerated a bit. Seen worse from Chanders in the past but Watto's knock was decent.

If Sree played, leaked 7 runs per over in the first Innings, then left the pitch with injury issues, came back in the second Innings, took a couple of wickets bowling pus, then had a good inspired spell of bowling, ultimately ending up with three wickets at about 40 each to show for his efforts this game, then claimed the injury issues still persisted, not to mention bowled over 9000 no balls, for his sake and the team's, I'd leave him out in the next game, I reckon'.
I'd never call for someone to be dropped on the basis of one game, tbh, especially if it was just an inconsistent game rather than an downright terrible one. If Sreesanth was recalled next game and did that I'd want him retained as he'd deserve more than one game to settle a place. This last game is just the most recent a long line of poor performances that'd make me drop Sharma for Sreesanth - that and the fact that Sreesanth was really good against Sri Lanka and then got injured.

But yeah, I'd be highly surprised if Sharma was dropped tbh.
