How can anyone forget St Dhoni's effort with the bounced catch from Pietersen that landed a foot in front of him?

The entire Indian team should stand condemned for that, well at least the slips cordon, who all were happy to maintain the appeal when they must have seen where it landed. This thing wasnt even close, it bounced so far in front of him it was an insult to common sense to claim it. Unless they weren't, to man, watching the ball. Not sure if St Sachin of the Selective Deafness was there at the time. I like to think he was.
Did this happen in England or in India? It's an honest question, I can't remember this episode.

It was in England mate, iirc.

Don't get me wrong, the Poms deserve it, but it was bad. He was nearly off the ground when his team mates told him to go back. May even have been at Lord's.

There are no saints on the field. Every bastard appeal when they know the batsmen have not nicked it.

You rarely know whether the ball bounced or not when it happens so close to the fingers. I'll give benefit of the doubt to Dhoni.
Look, I'm a bit the same too.

What the cynic in me would say, though, is that the ball (seemingly) made its first contact it was with the upper part of the hand, which was a fair way above the ground in comparison to where he'd be expecting to take the ball.

Jelly beans on the field are indeed very analagous to spot-fixing, I completely and utterly agree.
