The Miz vs Undertaker at Wrestlemania 27? Would be very unlikely but could definitely work as the young hot shot trying to take on Undertaker's Wrestlemania winning streak. The Miz would have to be World Heavyweight Champion by then and he's got to put his title on the line against the streak for it to be a Wrestlemania level match.A Cena heel turn from this would be pretty interesting, but is clearly never going to happen. A Cena/Orton feud would be a bit different due to the different heel/face dynamics in place this time around, but yeah I wouldn't really want to see it either. The E has done really well to cover up the loss and absence of HHH, HBK, Batista and Taker for the best part of this year, but I think now they're going to have to really try to keep on top of things, particularly if Jericho is gone as well, and with Christian now out injured as well. Would favour Miz to cash in the MITB sometime soon too, maybe at HIAC if Taker wins actually...need to find a program for Edge as well, he's to good to be floating around on the roster not doing much. An Edge/Morrison feud would be enjoyable.
I don't know...I think it seems like quite a logical and very possible option for WM27 to be honest. The only other opponent left for Undertaker at WM that would really be of any interest at this stage who he hasn't already faced before would be Cena (provided that Jericho isn't back by that time). I think as long as Miz keeps up progressing as he has been so far I think him vs Taker at WM would be on the cards, not sure if he would really need to have had a world title reign by that point either tbf, though granted he probably will have had one by then in any case. The Miz vs Undertaker at Wrestlemania 27? Orton is really over at the moment, but apparently he isn't happy working as the face, which is a shame as his badass face/tweener character is awesome. So we'll see if he has enough swing in the locker room to make them alter it. Otherwise a HHH return sometime soon is probably on the cards, so he could do a run as the major face for a while I suppose.I haven't watched properly in ages so I have no idea whether this is the case or not, but they could only do it if they have a guaranteed marketable and popular babyface to head the company.
They could turn Austin face in 01 because they had The Rock and Taker. They tried Angle too during that time, but there was always someone there.
If Jericho leaves, is there a big enough name to be the number one babyface? How popular is Orton now?

Where did you get the info about Orton not being happy as a face? Find it hard to buy given that he still plays the same character with just minor tweaks.Orton is really over at the moment, but apparently he isn't happy working as the face, which is a shame as his badass face/tweener character is awesome. I marked out when he started that promo and when they cut to a break! I loved the fact that he mentioned Kevin Nash, Diesel and Oz as three separate wrestlers as well as Scott Hall and Razor Ramon. I'm really going to miss seeing Chris Jericho perform on Raw even if he's only gone for a little while. Until he comes back at least we'll have his DVD that we can watch. I can't wait until that is released here in Australia.Yeah, he's actually come out and denied these rumours now tbf. Though the site I use is still adamant that he said to a high up WWE official that he wasn't happy with it.
Anyway, solid episode of RAW this week. Highlight of it had to be Chris Jericho again though. His promo where he listed all of the world champions he had defeated over the years reminded me so much of the master of 1001 holds (or however many it was) he did on Nitro all those years ago. Was made more funny by the fact that the list contained several guys who I am fairly sure he never actually beat. He of course made Orton look like an absolute star as well, and if that is his final appearance with the WWE then he did himself proud. What a champ.
Hoping it's only for a few weeks tbh, obv.-- WWE Champion Randy Orton punted Chris Jericho in the head after a hard fought match on RAW. The injury angle that took place was done to write Chris Jericho off television for the next several weeks. Jericho will be off for at least two weeks, as his metal band Fozzy will be touring the UK in October.
The possibility of turning John Cena heel has been discussed much more seriously than in the past, according to sources.
Vince McMahon made it clear when the idea was previously broached that it would not even be considered due to the tremendous amount of revenue Cena draws via merchandise. While there doesn't appear to be any firm plan in place, McMahon has since changed his tune on the subject as he is now open to listening to suggestions.
Meanwhile, accoring to another source, there is 'strong talk' of a turning Cena heel come WrestleMania season.
Two quite interesting stories..Source: The Wrestling Observer Newsletter
Vince McMahon has gone back and forth on the time frame for unifying the World Heavyweight Championship and the WWE Championship, reports the Pro Wrestling Torch. At times he has wanted the unification to take place within 30 days, but company officials have urged him to wait until WrestleMania XXVII.
Many within the company feel they need to place the titles on the proper people and position them strongly in order to make the unification match a major event.
Though McMahon has come off adamant about unifying the titles, no one has ruled out the possibility of the WWE Chairman having a change of heart.
