Bret's 5th title came four and a half years after his 1st, Orton has waited six years between 1st and 7th, not a lot of difference there really
Perhaps it is not the best example. However, the title does seem to change hands a lot. Trips is what, a hundred time champion, same with Cena, even Edge has held it numerous times too. I guess this is more of a case of the result of two world titles though, which will, presumably, double the number of times a given star holds a world title.

Calling those 'botches' by Cena is overpicky
Oh yeah, not doubting his ability in the ring, just some things I noticed. The drop kicked looked abysmal from where I was sitting though. The top rope thing was more interesting because of the confused look on Edge's face afterwards.

Yes. This could very well be a case of poor memories from my younger days, but you had the Shawn Michaels boyhood dream coming true after over 60 minutes and you compare it with someone like Swagger pretty much stealing their first title in a run in to compare extremes across generations.

BTW, did you call the tag match result half way, GIMH?

My mate has a 21st coming up themed "Masquerade". Everyone is meant to wear a mask and the fellas a suit, so I assume it is meant to be very classy.

This is my mask:

Well I was fairly sure Drew and Cody were winning the belts, just never expected three other teams there!

I thought Night of Champions was a pretty good show. The Miz vs Daniel Bryan was the match of the night and to The Miz's credit, he hung in there with Bryan and performed really well. It's amazing to think how much he's improved. He's a real star. Daniel Bryan winning was a great moment and a perfect way to give the storyline it's feel good moment. I'm looking forward to this feud continuing on in to the Hell in a Cell PPV.

The rest of the matches were okay. I quite liked Dolph Ziggler vs Kofi Kingston. I thought they had a pretty good match. As for Chris Jericho, he's awesome for jobbing out in 3 minutes and it shows that he doesn't care about looking good in defeat and will do what's needed to better tell the story. He was on Raw this week and will be on the show next week, but after that I'm not sure. I think he might be still negotiating with WWE at this stage. I really hope he stays, he's probably the only reason to watch Raw along with The Miz and Daniel Bryan.

Ziggler Vs Kingston was good, but not as good as Kingston Vs Swagger on Smackdown, which I really enjoyed.

NXT is amazing. In some aspects it's just so bad but the commentary on the show is so outstanding that it's unbelievable. It's the only wrestling show on television that allows commentators to be creative, funny and spontaneous. Michael Cole, Josh Matthews and CM Punk were outstanding this week. It also helps that AJ and Kaitlyn are extremely hot. Although, AJ's my girl. I love watching her on NXT.

Yeah Jono, Jericho is one of the guys very popular on the internet, I think it's mainly in response to people complaining about him losing all the time and saying that him losing is burying him etc.

My favourite comment is the one about how Jericho should learn to be a class act like Hulk Hogan. Presumably the guy who wrote that is being sarcastic...I hope

Christian has suffered a pectoral tear and will require surgery. He'll be out for 6 months. This is a shame because he's one of the WWE's best performers. Now for the next few months there will be no Chris Jericho, no Christian and no Matt Hardy. That really will affect the quality of WWE for me.

Hopefully The Miz, Daniel Bryan and CM Punk will continue to perform well and keep us entertained. I hope Christian has a successful surgery, recovers well and comes back better. He's certainly got a great program against Alberto Del Rio lined up when he returns.

Ah, that sucks.

The only good I can see coming from this is if Alberto passes it off as his work to get him even further over.

Christian's had an amazing run though of being injury free. The last time he was injured was in 2004 when he was in the WWE. That really is a testament to his level of fitness and his work. His entire three year TNA run was without any injury and since he's been back in the WWE, he's been injury free despite wrestling a ton of long, physical matches on ECW and Smackdown.

I think it's all for the best actually as it would put Alberto Del Rio huge without having to make Christian look like a jobber. Plus time away would help solidify his babyface character which was becoming somewhat stale. I'd imagine he'd get a pretty big pop when he comes back and would walk right into a feud with Alberto Del Rio where Christian would most likely go over rather than be the stepping stone. I hope he's back by Wrestlemania 27.

Haha, must say I enjoyed the end of Smackdown quite a lot. Hopefully we get a Bearer heel turn though. Really do not want Taker to win at HIAC.

End of Smackdown was good, otherwise it was a drab, drab affair. Still, next week should be good, hasn't been a live Smackdown in a while.

Anyone know if it will air live in the UK?

Yeah, tbf I fast forwarded through most of the rest of the show. What was with the music playing in the background during Kane's promo though? Added some atmosphere I guess, but it was kind of like watching a movie trailer or something. Not quite sure if I liked it or not.

No idea if it airs live.
