Kane's had music for about half of his promos since he first vegetated his brother (although at the time he claimed he was looking for the assailant, of course)

Haha, must say I enjoyed the end of Smackdown quite a lot. Hopefully we get a Bearer heel turn though. Really do not want Taker to win at HIAC.
It was awesome to see Paul Bearer. He looked like he always has and his facial expressions were awesome. It was great to see him get such a big pop as well considering most of the children in the audience today would have no idea who he is. I hope has a good run with WWE. He's certainly added something interesting to this feud.

Looks like he's lost weight as well, as he was getting to severely worrying levels when we last saw him.

Although I think last time he was on TV Undertaker murdered him :D

My defining memory of Paul Bearer is him screaming in Tori's face right before Kane tombstoned her, for some reason.

Haha a quick youtube search for it brought me across this, YouTube - Kane got kicked out by D-generation X

What a feud that was. Really enjoyed it at the time, even though in hindsight it reminds me of all the stupid crap that WWE used to pull with flamethrowers and ridiculous storylines etc.. good old days.

Attitude era was stupid tbf, some great stuff but some absolute dross that people look back on with rose-tinted glasses, IMO

Yeah indeed so, I think you're right. I would say the most consistently good period was probably between 2002-2005, with a bit of a nasty dip around 2006-2008 before getting better again since.

Bearer with Kane again would be quite the sight to see. Not a fan of Bearer with the Undertaker as it reminds me of the Undertaker of 2004, who I found a boring and lame imitation of the Deadman gimmick.

End of Smackdown was good, otherwise it was a drab, drab affair. Still, next week should be good, hasn't been a live Smackdown in a while.
Yes. Only thing of note for me was that Kaval lost against Chavo. Maybe they will do some sort of gimmick where he goes on some sort of losing streak. Stiill astounds me that he has a world title shot at a PPV in the future. Fully expect him to lose that or use it for something like the tag titles somehow.

Tori betraying Kane made me so angry. I don't think I'd ever been that angry or upset in my life.

-- WWE has announced that John Cena and the Nexus will face off on WWE's October 1st SyFy debut of SmackDown!.
Guess they really are doing to try and push the new launch of Smackdown hard. Will certainly make the show worth a watch in any case.

I desperately don't understand the stipulation of HIAC for the Cena Vs Barrett match. If Cena loses, he has to join Nexus, what does that mean? He is contractually obliged to be their friend? It simply doesn't make any sense to me.

Have always found that sort of thing a bit bizarre myself tbh. Not sure why a particular organisation would want to bring someone who had been beating the crap out of them for months into their ranks. Worked quite well with the Right to Censor back in 2001, but then that had a kind of brain-washing storyline which made it kind of legit. Imagine Cena may actually lose this one though, so will be interesting to see how it pans out.

The worrying possibility that I invisage is that Cena will lose and then the Nexus will command him into a feud with Orton, AGAIN.

A Cena heel turn from this would be pretty interesting, but is clearly never going to happen. A Cena/Orton feud would be a bit different due to the different heel/face dynamics in place this time around, but yeah I wouldn't really want to see it either. The E has done really well to cover up the loss and absence of HHH, HBK, Batista and Taker for the best part of this year, but I think now they're going to have to really try to keep on top of things, particularly if Jericho is gone as well, and with Christian now out injured as well. Would favour Miz to cash in the MITB sometime soon too, maybe at HIAC if Taker wins actually...need to find a program for Edge as well, he's to good to be floating around on the roster not doing much. An Edge/Morrison feud would be enjoyable.

He belongs with Kane, reminds me of my childhood.
Not as important tbh :p

I guess it highlights how you just see things when you started watching as how they should be. Taker and Bearer go together like Animal and Hawk to me

Imagine it's been left purposefully vague as the creative team haven't got round to working out what'll happen next tbh.

Reckon Cena should take over the Nexus imo and rename it the Cenation. IWC would love it.
