In Australia for the Bushrangers, he was regularly given a lot of tap. His batting was quality but his bowling just wasn't up to it.
That was a fantastic innings!Pollard you beast!!!! Awesome entertainment this
Seriously think that his consistency in this format has been long underrated, it's just the circumstances of when he comes in, with teams holding him off till late, make it hard for him at times. He was excellent for SA before his season in England, and was very good as well for T&T in last year's CL.Pollard is a madman! He is finally aquiring some sort of consistency, starting with Somerset and continuing here. There are a lot of overrated T20 cricketers, in this era of high IPL prices, but Pollard is definitely not one of them. His bowling and the sheer match winning ability of his batting means he is worth pretty much every penny, regardless of what you pay for him.
He is a pie chucker of the highest order. Still waiting for Pollard to do something on the big stage i.e. for the West Indies, the Zimbabwean spinners were all too much for him.Pollard is a madman! Looks it but he's quite a smart bowler. Tough to get away (mainly due to height I reckon) despite having the mind-blowing pace of Chris Harris and is good at drawing shots the batters generally walk away kicking themselves for.He is a pie chucker of the highest order.
exactly atm he is your T-20 version of Ramparkash and Hick.He is a pie chucker of the highest order. Still waiting for Pollard to do something on the big stage i.e. for the West Indies, the Zimbabwean spinners were all too much for him.
To be fair, I think he also was the topscorer in last winter's Big Bash in Australia....Pollard is a madman! Yeah, his bowling in 20/20 cricket recently has been poor recently, and he started his first over badkly....Think Bravo's a massive risk in T20 cricket for four overs.
Maybe number three is the place for him in 20/20 cricket....Sachin finally bats Pollard high in the batting order, and look what happens.
Good stuff.
