Raw gm can suck it, wade got screwed :(
Wade might win! 6 pack challenge could be a way for Wade to win the title without beating anybody in a one on one title match. Sheamus retaining would be big for him, as the match is set up for almost any challenger to be able to win.

Must say I would have rather seen Barrett vs Sheamus for the title, but it does make sense for Orton - Sheamus to keep going as it is getting pretty good. At least this way Barrett can remain somewhere near the main event and keep his push going as best as possible.

Pretty awesome Raw this week again. Sheamus was awesome the entire show. Got to hand it to Sheamus. The guy got a lot of crap from the internet fans at the start, but he's really shown that he belongs at the top level in WWE. Same can be said for The Miz, he's seriously very close to reaching the level that The Rock was in 1998 when he was the charismatic heel.

Interesting thing about The Miz and The Rock in that they both received such bad reactions from fans at the start of their careers. The Rock turned out to be one of the greatest of all time but it seems that The Miz is hopefully heading in that direction as well. The Miz makes Raw so much better.

In a funny kind of way, I really liked the main event and how that was done. It really Sheamus over as a clever, thinking wrestler and I think gave him more heat. Although I have to say, I do like Zack Ryder and think he has a lot of potential which I think the WWE are wasting. Get Ryder into a feud with Evan Bourne or put him in a tag team and build him up slowly. If The Miz can turn his career around, I think Zack Ryder can as well.

I think that's the best way to get the WWE Championship on Wade Barrett without the other stars looking weak. Although I'm still hoping Sheamus pulls through and wins. I've been enjoying this title run of his a lot and he deserves a longer run.

Imo, Barrett is not anywhere near ready for the title and him winning it would devalue it greatly. He is the head of Nexus, which is a big angle, but on his own, he has done little other than talk. If you want to talk about the value of the title, and especially people who are ready for the Raw title, then look no further than The Miz who has been a tag champion, has then been paraded as a joke, has retained credibility through some of the best promos of recent years (Barrett is good on the mic but has reached no such heights, ever) and fought his way up through the US title division up to the world title scene.

Was watching some old matches on youtube and found a hidden gem in Y2J Vs HHH at Fully Loaded in a Last Man Standing match. This match really epitomises the balance between a match which is brutal and a match which has psychology and solid wrestling in it.

Can't say I've noticed the accent. Still seems Mancunian to me tbh.

RE him being ready for the title - not sure. He's done a hell of a lot more than Sheamus had when he won the title.

The E likes to use the world titles to get heels over with their first run these days, Edge, Swagger, Sheamus. Wade having the title would be massive and would be a boost ao an already awesome Nexus angle.

Just slightly too early for Wade to get the strap to be honest. Only slightly though, Had he picked up the win at Summerslam it would probably be a different matter. Needs to get maybe one or two high profile wins under his belt before he gets the title imo. Granted Sheamus didn't really get this approach, but, I think two young guys given insane pushes like this in a relatively short space of time probably wouldn't be the best way to go about things. In any case, imagine Wade vs Cena/HHH/Undertaker for a world title at WM is an absolute lock.

As reported on earlier, the fear is that Nexus member Skip Sheffield suffered a broken ankle at a WWE event over the weekend in Hawaii and that he could be missing a lot of time as a result. Last night's RAW was taped in Los Angeles last week following Summerslam so they were safe for that show. It remains to be seen if an angle will be run on next week's 900th episode of RAW in Boston to explain why he won't be used on a regular basis (that is of course assuming the injury is as bad as it is being reported among the wrestling media). Believe it or not, there has already been talk in WWE of killing the Nexus angle by October.
No no no.

Sheamus didn't get high profile wins before he won the title, but he did wrestle for a while on ECW. Wrestling a few matches on NXT and Sheamus wrestling for several months on ECW against Goldust, Shelton Benjamin, and getting to crush a few jobbers is much more in ring preparation than Barrett has had.

I think the WWE screwed up by having Barrett Vs Cena on Raw (Beat the Clock, I believe) before the Nexus thing kicked off - it could have been a good thing to see Barrett with so much momentum go up against Cena for the first time.
