TBF to Kieswetter, he has recieved some bloody good deliveries this summer. The Tait out-swinging full delivery was a beauty, Hazlewood got one to nip back and keep low, Harris bowled one that niped back a considerable distance and that delivery from Mashrafe was very good. I think we need to stick with Kieswetter for at least 1 more series.
Kieswetter is always going to make balls look better than they really are, as he doesn't get a long way forward to meet the ball when playing naturally. He prefers to stand and flay hands at it.

In reply to Pothas's post.. There is a bit of a difference though between Shafiul and Mitchell Johnson/Peter Siddle/Hilfenhaus
Of course I am not that dim-witted.

It was just the nature of the shots, they were authentic cricket shots rather than Luke Wright style hacks.

Many of them weren't even hacks, he just held the bat somewhere away from his body and then looked surprised when it went straight to gully.

Bresnan still looking quality then. Anderson's not been at his best this summer, but he is still comfortably better than Tiny Tim. Would rather have Sidearse in the team than Bresnan.

Yeah Bresnans precence in the side just upsets me, really hope he is gone by the time the world cup comes around.

Shahzad again :D Love this bloke, can see why the England management and selectors have been keen to get him in. Clearly loves bowling, brings some passion into the attack and is actually talented. Should already be miles ahead of Bresnan.

If Spain can do it why not Bangla

This win is really needed for their cricket to survive....

Bresnan fulfilled the Anderson role of getting taken off after a few expensive overs with the new ball.

Difference is Bresnan generally comes back and does a solid job and he bats. But for some reason most of the people in this thread would rather attack him when he's younger and played far fewer internationals than Anderson.

Also there's no comparison between Shahzad and Bresnan. Bresnan won't play in Tests unless there's not a whole host of injuries and he bats at 7/8 in ODIs. Shahzad is competing with Anderson basically. Or someone like Finn in Test cricket.

I am not attacking Bresnan because I want to defend Anderson, I don't want him in the side because he will never be international class.

He does an Ok job with the bat but that is not nearly enough when his bowling is so inefective.
