It's hard to say much against Paul Collingwood given how much he brings to this team, but **** me is he unattractive to watch

Yeah. It will be interesting to see if he can make it as a genuine wrist-spinning all-rounder. Off the top of my head I can't think of any in history. Benaud I suppose but not really a front-line batsman, which Smith certainly has the potential to be.
Should really have made his test debut at 6 against NZ early this year ae h'd scored 3 or 4 centuries in the latter part of the fc season but the selectors went the conservative route and stuck with North

Is Bollinger's rug a little bit ginger? If so then he and the two batsmen would make a wonderful copper-topped threesome

Seriously though, we've lost a lot of great players over the past few years at ODIs, but the loss of Hogg almost hurts the most (I say almost because Symonds was by far the biggest loss). Was so good week in week out, if Smith is half the ODI player he was towards the end there it'd go a long way to filling that hole.

Genuine laugh at the combination of pre/post-edit post and then the edit reason

Oh, also. Was I the only one who really, really wanted to report GF's post?
