WOW!

Just woke up at around 6:30am. Flick on the TV Guide to see if there's any replay of the Melzer/Novak tennis match on any of the Fox Sports channels. What do I see? Live English domestic T20!

The minute click the channel I see a bloke teeing off. Who is it? GERAINT!

Then later Azar Mahmood walks in to bat. Epic nostalgia!

Not to mention Fat Key on the sidelines and RtD fielding like a freak.

Awesome way to start the day

Sounds like RtD was brilliant with the bat too?

Also, say what you like about the IPL, at least their cheerleaders are hot. What the **** were those ones in the yellow? Maybe I only saw a bad batch.

Finally, I see the IPL 'horn' is in English T20 too hey?

Wow, awesome, had no idea they were covering it in Australia. I'm at work now so I can't watch but it's still awesome.

Kept Essex in it. Quality stuff.

Middlesex (plus Gilly) versus Sussex on tomorrow.

Haha, I noticed that too. I only had 5 minutes to watch it, was indeed rather random to find it on.

Not a UK citizen AFAIK so we wouldn't consider him.
Kervezee will become eligable in December 2010...
looking at RtD he is probably already eligable to play for England, he never has been in the picture yet but we'll never know which trick the English selectors have on their sleeves....Australia did it with Nannes, England with Joyce and Morgan etc. it's bound to happen

Nannes slightly different kettle of fish.

Has no real Dutch history apart from his parents being from Holland, didn't spend any time there from what I know. He only ended up playing for the Dutch because he used his passport to play for Middlesex, then Jeroen Smits spoke to him on the basis that it was unfair that he use his heritage to his advantage without playing for the country, or something along those lines.

Certainly not a born and bred Dutchman like Joyce, Morgan are with Ireland.

still, when a player plays for a country he can't just turn up for another country within a week?

Middlesex team on Cricinfo has 10 players and no keeper listed. Guessing Gilly is playing then?

Amjad wasnt a UK citizen was he?
Yeah, he took it out just before his debut for eligibility purposes. From Richard Hobson in The Times:

He took 63 wickets in his first full season in 2002 and became a British citizen four years later. Within a month, he was included in the England A squad and named in the initial 30 for the World Cup in the West Indies

No Gilly for Middlesex according to Cricinfo or Warner. Debut for Paul Stirling.
Cricinfo talking balls. Gilly clearly keeping.

Sussex heading for a pretty mediocre total here. Gilchrist will be quite happy going after 140 or so.
