Yes. Good to have someone else notice that. He was a tad wayward, but I doubt that he is always like that and he has a good deal of speed about him with his slingy action. He has a quite nice tilted seam too with might suggest that he occasionally gets some swing too. I recall watching him bowl in the ICL and he was really getting some good outswing on the ball, but only at 128kph - that being said, everyone's speeds were down in the ICL, even Bond who was bowling at around 135kph. It is a shame that he is being kept out of IPL action (and rightly so, of course) by Zaheer Khan and Malinga.Abu Nechim Ahmed looks quite a talent. I bet most of the other teams (Rajasthan Royals in particular) would love to have someone like that. Bit different to the usual mid 120 bowlers.
Only come in this year (due to the ICL) and there was no way in for him in the Mumbai Indians side over Malinga or Zaheer Khan.Surprised Nechim is only making his debut now, was the most impressive paceman from the Indian 2006 WC side.
My guess is just that Rayadu is adjudged a better batsman.Oh and baffled why Tare doesn't play, seemed a decent enough bat and keeps wicket. Is he injured?
Yeah Napier dominated in NZ.McLaren and Pollard out; Napier and Duminy/Jayasuriya in, depending on JP's fitness. Napier's not much worse batsman than McLaren, and is actually capable of clearing the boundary with ease, but is a much better bowler; and just wipes the floor with Pollard, who I assume is only playing because of the ridiculous price paid for him. 1 decent series against Australia and he's suddenly a big star =/ Averages 13 with the bat and 30 with the ball in T20i's, hugely over-rated. Get Napes in.
Followed him a bit. Occasionally expensive over his few years, but on the whole, very very good.Yeah Napier dominated in NZ.
Yeah, did pretty well didn't he. Think Howsie mentioned to me on PC that Napes bowled very quickly in the game he saw him play. Can't argue with 18 wickets at 16.33 with an economy of 6.94, those are seriously impressive figures. I really am baffled that he didn't even make the England 30, and now can't get into a Mumbai Indians side that features Pollard and McLaren, very strange. He must rub people up the wrong way or something, as it's just bizarre that he doesn't seem to be given a chance by anyone at the top level; even when he was picked for England in the last T20 WC he didn't get a game. Must be some sort of conspiracy against Essex players.Yeah Napier dominated in NZ.
ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ - how many wickets have his mates taken and at what strike rate?Tait averages 26 at 8.6 for his 10 wickets from 8 matches and rightly binned. However Voges' non selection is truly surprising. He strikes at over 140 and has an eco rate of 6 and is electric on field. Warne's selections have generally been off mark this season with martyn taking the gold cup.
