Really sad news about Chris Kanyon. I always thought he was a talented guy who didn't get the recognition that he deserved. He'll be missed.

TNA have released Christopher Daniels and the next day he showed up at a ROH PPV. So it looks like Christopher Daniels has signed a deal with ROH. I can't believe TNA were stupid enough to let a star of Christopher Daniels' calibre go.

He was one of their best wrestlers and one of the most over wrestlers in the company. It really smacks of company politics as Hogan and Bischoff didn't seem like big fans of the guy anyway. He contributed more to TNA than anybody in recent memory and has had more classic matches in the company than anybody else. Really disappointed to see him go.

I think he'll be a huge signing for ROH as they are really trying to be the alternative company in the pro wrestling landscape and if they keep signing big name TNA stars then they can really grow and cater to a wider audience.

Yeah, I was surprised to hear they'd released him, that was until I remembered this was the Hogan-Bischoff era. They have not used him well at all since arriving.

Still waiting for confirmation as to whether he's signed with ROH - some rumours are that he's just going to be working show-by-show for them and that he might sign for Vince - not convinced personally, he would be a useful addition to the midcard though!

I would love to see Christopher Daniels in WWE. I hope they sign him. I think he'd make a pretty good Intercontinental Champion.

He is a bit small for WWE though, as much as I did like him in TNA.
Would go with this too. I rate him highly but he never struck me as someone who was "E" if you get what I mean. Would love to see them try him though.

Yes. It would not be impossible to get him over as an established ring veteran.

Same height as Jericho, 3lbs lighter; 2 inches taller than Eddie Guerrero, 4lbs heavier; Same height as Kurt Angle, about the same weight too (no way Angle is 240lbs); 3 inches shorter than Shawn Michaels, same weight; 3 inches shorter than Christian, same weight; 3 inches shorter than Bret Hart, at prime same weight; 2 inches shorter than Kofi Kingston, 3lbs heavier; 2 inches shorter than CM Punk, 3lbs heavier; 2 inches shorter than Jeff Hardy, 9lbs heavier.

I wouldn't say he's too small tbh. Amazed TNA got rid of him. He's given the company so much, whether it was his awesome X Division fueds, or his Tag fueds as a member of Triple X, or his run as Suicide, or his even more laughable run as Curry Man; he's continually put on awesome matches, and has now been dumped by the idiotic new Hogan regime. The 'E should sign the guy up, he's a quality performer capable of working some incredible matches and decent on the Mic. He'd be an excellent mid-card addition to the WWE roster.

If you are sure about the weights you have for Daniels, then consider myself wrong.

Well according to quite a few Internet sites he's 5'10" and around 224-232lbs. Some of these guys are deceptively huge. Take Sheamus for example, he's apparently 6'6" and weighs in excess of 260lbs =/

Yeah, I don't see them going for him either. He'll stay in ROH and organisations like that I'd imagine.

That is one extra nail in the coffin for TNA, for all the "real wrestling fans" who tune in to watch "wrestling", this is a slap in the face. What an absolutely bollocks decision. Nice one Hogan, way to weaken the strongest part of your promotion.

Raw really was incredible this week. It's been a really strong couple of months for the WWE and I believe they have been producing some of their best television in recent times. I'm going to miss Shawn Michaels. What a performer, what a legend. His farewell promo came across as being so real and from the heart, it was the perfect send off.

Randy Orton continues to develop into this really popular babyface and Batista is doing some of his best work as the arrogant heel. John Cena's been great lately as well being the nice guy of the WWE. It was also great to see Bret Hart and Shawn Michaels thank each other and show their mutual respect for one another. I'm glad that both of them have moved on. I actually really liked when The Hart Dynasty came to Bret's aid and faced off against ShoMiz. It's good to see that The Hart Dynasty now have decent opponents.

Overall a really good Raw. I can't believe anybody would ever want to watch TNA Impact after Raw delivered such a good show.
I'm really going to miss Shawn. He's always been there. I can remember shouting ''boooo'' at the TV when he came out when I was a kid. He's one of the biggest legends in the WWE and a definite Hall of Famer.

I'm so glad Randy is popular again. I don't like him as a heel as I don't like Batista as a heel either but I guess there has to be rivalry.

I don't think that The Hart Dynasty will ever be able to live up to the name. It might just be who they are following. It's always going to be hard when you are following in the footsteps of Bret, Owen and the British Bulldog. I hope they do well it's just I don't think they have what it takes but I hope they prove me wrong.

Decent Raw, nothing spectacular but generally watchable. Orton V Swagger was great. Christian and Dibiase was decent. Otunga did a decent job of making people interested in NXT as well as showing his full-on heel side. And double helping of The Miz. what's not to love really?

And I'm following it with Arsenal-Barca, decent evening really

As if I could love The Miz anymore, I read the results from the Raw House Show in Newcastle and he said the following:

The Miz said:
I've won more championships in three years than Newcastle United have in thirty

Looking forwards to the SD show I'm at on Sunday :)

 WAG, probably the best use of a pop culture taunt I've heard in ages. Who is guest hosting the live RAW on Monday?

David Hasselhoff. I thought they'd have someone English, apparently not

Anyone see Smackdown? Thought it was a good show. Swagger-Morrison I enjoyed in particular, with Swagger getting a credible win and both guys making each other look good. The E seems to be focused on making new stars at the moment but not to the detriment of the overall star quality of their shows. Last spring/summer, Smackdown was awesome and the Smackdown matches on PPV were generally top notch but in general things went a bit meh after Mania. I am quite optimistic this year though, the draft should shake things up (Cena to Smackdown anyone?), we have NXT getting very interesting and young guys like Swagger,Sheamus, Morrison & Miz making big names for themselves.

I saw a bit of it, nice to see the E getting plenty of new stars on TV indeed. The team that faced the Harts though, horrible gimmick, can't see that lasting. Decent enough promo and ring work though so both guys should come out of it alright long term. Didn't see the rest of the show, had to turn over to watch the good Doctor

Bit quiet round here at the minute but I will do you all the service of boring you to tears with my report from last night's House Show, interspersed with pics

I was on Row J and the view was quality, really couldn't complain, except maybe about the kid sat next to me who kept blocking my view of the ramp by waving his replica Big Gold Belt about. Can't get too mad about such enthusiasm though really. Saw one kid with both the WWE & WHC titles draped around his shoulder, bit of trivia for you, you might not know this but back in 2001 Chris Jericho beat both The Rock and Stone Cold in the same night to win those two titles (not quite, but close enough hey).

Anyway, now that you've been sufficiently enlightened.

Show opened with R-Truth coming out, great idea, got the crowd going and he was way over. He was up against Ziggler who I am a bit of a fan of. Dolph was great at getting heat from the kids but I think needs a bit more about him before the whole crowd starts hating him. The match was very good actually, standard heel-face stuff with R-Truth going over but it got the crowd into it.

(Took me a little while to get the camera settings right )

Second match was Divas, no McCool for some reason so we got Beth V Layla. They didn't bother announcing Layla as being from England (tbf they don't on TV either and I have NFI why, have you heard her accent?!) and she played a really good heel. I was really surprised by this match. Beth is the one diva who can put on a decent match generally but Layla was much better than I expected, doing the cowardly heel routine but also getting some decent offence. I was expecting the divas to be the dud of the night for me but tbh it was watchable.

Next up was the Hart Dynasty against Croft and Barreta. The Dudebusters came out first and got some nice cheep heel heat by saying that they had heard there was a big football rivalry in Manchester but that it didn't matter because Chelsea owned them both. Pop from me for that tbh. They then went on to see that it was called soccer and a stupid game anyway. Harts got a decent pop, and Smith played up to his status as son of the most popular British wrestler of all-time by completely apeing his moveset. Decent match as you'd expect from these, finished with the Hart Attack (I think) for the pin.

Then we had Luke Gallows V Finlay. A lot of the kids popped big for Finlay's music then realised it wasn't Hornswoggle. Gallows and Serena got a lot of heat, and Gallows cut a routine "straight edge means I'm better than you" promo. The match was meh, Finlay got the win when he managed to hit Gallows with his cane while the ref wasn't looking. Punk then ran down for a beatdown which brought out Rey to a mother****ing pop hey. This was nice, got the crowd eager for the semi-main later in the night.

Last match before intermission was Shad V Kane, you all know I don't really care for those type of big men, it was impressive for what it was but it was just before intermission and I'd had a couple of pints so my mind was, erm, in the toilet, possibly not for the first or last time

I came back from intermission just in time for Drew McIntyre getting on the mic. I'm glad I never missed it because he was absolute gold:

Drew said:
When I was young, like most British families we would go on holiday to Spain. But one year, my parents brought me on holiday to Manchester. When I realised where we were, I thought I must have done something wrong. Everyone knows that this town is chav central!
He went on to say that England was devoid of sporting heroes, citing John Terry as an example and said he would represent all of Britain as our new hero.

He went on to have a really good match with Matt Hardy for the IC title. You knew who the winner would be but they did a great job of making us think Matt would take it, before Drew managed to end it with his futureshock DDT.

Matt was carried out by the refs and there was a "we want Jeff" chant going round which was a bit harsh. Watch Bravo and see the great stuff Jeff's up to lately :(

Next up was CM Punk V Rey Rey. Punk got great heat although he had his fans, plenty of people with 'Pepsi Plunge' signs and what not. He didn't get on the mic which was a shame on the face of it, but he didn't need to. He took about five minutes getting to the ring, just got in everyone over 18's face on the front row, absolutely brilliant. Rey Rey's pop was off the charts, absolutely immense. There were a lot of kids in attendance but even so, the man was ****ing over, easily the most popular wrestler of the night. As an aside, his masks were £40 on the merch stand and there were tonnes of kids getting their folks to buy them them so the royalty cheques are even prettier than I imagined for Rey. Those of you who read this thread a lot will know I am a big fan of the guy, a big fan of both guys.

Check Punk squaring up to someone in the front row on this one:

The match itself was AMAZING. What their Mania match should have been I guess as it ran a fair amount of time. Can't possibly do it any justice by recapping anything that happened, I just hope they get time at Extreme Rules to showcase this sort of match. It was the second best match I've seen this year, behind only Taker-HBK at Mania. Bear in mind I've pretty much seen every Raw, Smackdown, ECW, NXT and most Impacts this year, as well as all of the PPVs, it's not a statement I'm making lightly. Rey Rey got the win via 619 to an enormous reaction. My favourite snap of the night is below.

Finally the main event was Jericho V Edge V Swagger. Bret Hart was the outside enforcer. Jericho got on the mic and did his totally awesome routine, called Manchester a crappy little town to great applause from me and ran down Bret Hart and Edge. Edge got a great pop, Bret's was massive, between him and Rey for pop of the night.

The match was really good, in some ways standard triple threat fare although large chunks just showcased Edge and Jericho with Swagger playing possum. Swagger retained, he chucked Edge out of the ring after he had speared Jericho and covedred Jericho for the win.

Jericho had beaten on Bret during the match but managed to escape at the end. The crowd obviously weren't going to go home unhappy though, Edge speared Swagger and then brought Bret in to put Swagger in the sharpshooter to a huge pop, a nice end to the show and Bret really soaked up the ovations as he walked out.

Gonna post a few more pics because I'm self-indulgent. Will post a link to the album on facebook as well if anyone is interested in checking the whole lot out. They are hit and miss, I have a pretty good camera but am not much of a photographer plus at times I was too busy watching to actually take good photos. Got a video of Jericho's promo as well which I may stick onto youtube.

Punk's facial expressions are second to none

As the ref was getting the match started, Jericho was begging him to give him the belt in a nice continuation of what's been happening on Smackdown these past couple of weeks. Not really captured by the pic but that's what was happening.

In a hilarious spot, Jericho went for the spear on Edge but Edge pulled himself back to the corner and Jericho landed flat on his face.
