I don't think it's inevitable because Christian is currently on RAW but we'll see what happens in the draft I guess

Edit, also you going any of the house shows sledger? Got tix for the Smackdown show in manchester yesterday. Scheduled main event is Edge-Jericho for the title, and rumour has it that Bret will be on the Smackdown tour, appearing as the outside enforcer for the main event matches. Rey Rey V CM Punk also scheduled - looks like we'll be basically getting the Smackdown side of Mania, I can't wait. Decent seats as well.

Sounds gun. Didn't buy any tickets in the end this time round. Probably just as well given how much money I've ended up with even without buying them. Am desperately trying to find a way to get Champions League tickets now though, so excited.

Sounds awesome GIMH. Smackdown is having a tour to Australia as well in June this year. Really do want to go for the show but I'm just holding off on buying tickets because after the draft Chris Jericho and Edge will probably be on Raw just to screw with us Australian fans.

Do you guys get a live broadcast mb?

We have a Raw & Smackdown here, well in London, and the tickets are actually cheaper than the house shows. But the matches are better at the house shows and it's a Sunday so I don't need to mess about with time off etc.

Would like to see Morrison have his gimmick changed to make him a more credible character and then pushed as a singles competitor....unfortunately this would probably mean the demise of Miz which would be a shame.....but still, Morrison has what's required to make him a very decent character imo.
Wrong again jackass

Yeah, I don't think anyone expected Miz to be ahead of Morrison at this point. One of the best things about 09. His promos calling out Cena were the start of something special.

Just watched this week's Impact. Not impressed. Fully understood why the segment involving the Beautiful people was the highest rated of the two hours.

Smackdown, a bit like Raw lately, was okay, went through the motions, had great mic segments hyping Rey Rey-Punk and Jericho-Edge, wasn't really into any of the matches. Ended with Shawn standing over Taker though, and it was acknowledged by the announcers that shawn was doing what he did last year so no problems on that front

My god I love Shawn. He could be nine days from the end

I dunno...Shawn has made it clear that he doesn't want to wrestle forever, also imagine he was quite stung by Flair going back on it all...we'll see I guess.

Hope it goes on last. Am looking forwards to all the main events but won't be able to get up for Cena-Batista or Edge-Jericho if they follow that.

I've always been of the believe that the title match should be the main event.

Didn't like Hogan vs. Sid following Flair vs. Savage at Mania 8.

I generally agree with you Jono, Mania 8 being an example I've often used. However, last year it was hard to give a **** about the two title matches after the Taker-HBK match. With the stakes raised this year, it would be even harder.

Same with Mania 18 and Hogan-Rock

Tbf the Orton/HHH match should have been worthy of the ME slot, it was only because of the way it was booked that it turned out to be a huge disappointment. Obviously it would never have been as good as HBK/Taker, but still worthy of the ME slot for mine.

Let me explain, I'm not saying it wasn't worthy of the main event. But the fact is those two could have gone and had a match of the quality of the X-Seven main event and the crowd wouldn't have got as into it as they should. Taker-HBK was one of the great Mania matches (IMO it is the greatest Mania match) and after that finished the rest was always going to be an anti-climax.

Yeah fair enough. I know what I'm about to say isn't what you were getting at either, but I would point out that it's very rare in Wrestlemania terms for the ME to be the best match on the card. In fact, funnily enough, thinking back, HBK has pretty much had the match of the night from nearly every single WM he has been a part of since his comeback, and even before that. He really is Mr Wrestlemania, WAG.
