Usman's average is above 50 at the momenet. Wonder how long it will take him to be selected in a Test squad. I also noticed that Henriques is not playing. Would anyone know whether he is injured or has been dropped?

Im pretty sure he was down to play in the futures league with Warner. They have both left for India though to play in the IPL.

Dave warner put an add in fox news "i wanna move states".
I think nsw can survive without him, plenty of youngsters there.
Hope he does not go to the vics they have plenty of depth, plnty come from innterstate too.
Henriques dropped like warner.

Would the best thing for Henriques be to go to Tasmania? Bat at six, help them out and play the role that Butterworth hasn't shown himself to be consistently good enough to fill?

I can't believe I ate the whole thing
Speaking of adelaide spinners, what ever happened to Jason Donnelly ( I think that was his name ) he was supposed to be a good prospect.
Trying out the sheepskin prophylactics at the moment.

I can't believe I spelled that right in the first go.

I'd be pretty pissed of at Henriques if he quits NSW as soon as he gets dropped, considering how much we've put into him and the undeserved games he's received for much of the past two seasons.

On the Warner situation, losing one of the best T20 players in the country - and one who is available during the BigBash - would be pretty big, but if he wants regular FC games he'll probably have to move states.

Usman is the man.

North couldn't score in a brothel.

Smith handling his call-up well it seems, 72* aws. :)

And Coulter-Nile currently has the figures of 3/1 off 5. Wow.

What a fine servant of Tasmanian cricket. Below the best in terms of talent with both bat and ball, but ended his career as arguably the most important Tasmanian cricketer of all time.

Captaincy record alone is incredible. He really took Tasmania from perennial underachievers to arguably one of the most successful state sides of the last decade.

His batting has always provided much needed stability to the Tasmanian middle order. Take a look at his season by season record with the bat, rarely having a poor season.

Started his career as a true front-line spin bowler, scaling back to a part-timer role as the likes of Doherty and Krejza began to take more of a role. For a left-arm tweaker to average less than 50 despite playing his career on Bellerive is a fair achievement. Has always been a sound fielder, and suffered few major injuries.

Never a player who truly threatened the national squad, just outside the cusp of ODI selection. I recall he was a regular selection in Australia A and Prime Ministers XI games in the late 90's. I recall one game against England in which the English made him look like Shane Warne in reverse.

Will be missed from Tasmania. Batting depth is not strong.

Wonderful to see Stevie Smith banging the Test match door off its hinges with some stellar form again today.

It's like old days, young punks like Hughes and Smith (rather than Hayden, Martyn, Ponting, Blewett) making irresistible cases through sheer weight of runs.

Could do exactly as Watto did there, go to Tas for 1-2 seasons, get his **** together and when he's a finished product head back home.

Another duck to the Grove, TC right again it would seem.

Loving the NSW batsmen at the moment, honestly could not imagine who would be dropped for a full strength batting lineup. Comedy gold.

Katich tbh.

Three 2nd ball ducks in a row must be a record.

Fatty Smith might go from being our first choice keeper to 3rd choice in the space of a month, with Adam Crosthwaite tonning up in the 2nd XI match last week.

Kylez

Pretty dire day tbh, besides George and Cleary who were both alright, the rest of the bowlers were plain poor.

Klinger has stood up enough its time for someone else to do it. Harris looks to be finding some form at the end of the season, bloody Cosgrove thats like his 4th duck in a row, all of them have been like 2 ballers to.

Gotta love fatty smith anyway tho, wag!

Kylez, just wondering why do you go for South Australia? You don't seem to be from s.a and we are pretty ****, what's there haha?

Would be surprised if a few guys don't move interstate next season. Can't see Warner hanging around, we got six 50 plus batsmen in the squad atm. With Roher, Thornley and Forrest all ahead of him. Add in the youngsters like Maddinson. Though I can't see him be more then a fringe FC batsmen even at sides like Tasmania, SA or Queensland. He had a decent run at the start of the season and showed very little.

Reckon we might also show the door to some older bowlers to keep the youngsters. Wouldn't be surprised if Lee, Clark and Bracken are all cut.

TBH could see Warner signed to QLD and bat every game, despite inconsistency. He's got to be better than most of our dire frail top order atm.

Does Warner make big runs in grade cricket?

Edit: Also does anyone know whether the wagon-wheels they now show on the cricket.com.au scorecards convert all batsmen to right handers to display or not? (Poorly worded I know)

Steve o'keefe took 2 more wkts today taking his tally to 13,has to be the australia A spinner this year,no one else unless mcgain.
Who do australia A play this year.
Yeh warner gets good runs in grade, but so do a lot of guys.
Tim cruikshank and ailen beadle with 2ndxl runs and runs in grade will be pushing for contracts.
Don't see nsw shopping for a batsmen even if warner probably leaves.
Nah warner will go with his dehli daredevils coach greg shipperd, vics will have so much talennt in their squad next year.
Think with o'keefe and smith going good it will be hard to keep beau casson, especially with daniel burns, liam doran and the other guy from australia u 19 emerging.
