He missed half the tournament after he got injured in the first match!

Absolutely reckon he's still not 100% - side strains take a fair whack of time to recover from. But he is a lot more committed than he gives off so it's not easy to keep him off the field.
Oh ok. But the point about his technical deficiency still stands.

The sooner we stop relying on that inconsistent clown "Chris Gayle" the better :mad2:, like i said before i simply cannot wait for Brathwaite to come through, even now the kid seems to have a better cricketing brain than Chris, i just don't think Gayle gives a f#ck about the game anymore and to add insult to injury he's a sh1t captain, he should be embarrassed with his performances thus far.

AND NOW IT'S 3 FOR 11? and people wonder why i wanted big changes?!! i hope you're enjoying the game Gayle and Williams!!.
DWTA. His exploits in the test series show that you are wrong about Gayle.

WTF is your damn problem. If you want question my position out on Gayle, debate me on it. WTF you cursing me out for, like if you just wash your mouth with piss. Rest yourself..
I only asked about his injury. Your point about his 'technical deficiency', whether true or not, is completely irrelevant.

Don't know if getting a slightly off-pace good rock first up can be classed as a 'technical deficiency' to be honest.
Gayle doesn't move his feet. Once a bowler like Bollinger is capable is swinging the ball back into his pads he is super vulnerable early one. Hilfenhaus did in in 1st test of the summer & Lee has got him that way many times in past AUS vs WI clashes.

And did i not say "i dont know if he was injured"?. Me mentioning the technical flaw was just me making a comment geez. How did it then justify you cursing out i'll never know

Neither does Sehwag, and he's the best player in the world right now..

Do you know what "inconsistent" means? 8-) the man is a clown it's as simple as that, it's all about what "mood" he's in on the day, nothing else and more often than not we're paying the price for it, i'd take Barath over that idiot anyday of the week because he actually puts some thought into what he's doing at the crease.

Mark Waugh was inconsistent too. Most natural strikers of the ball appear to be more inconsistent than more technically inclined batsmen. That doesn't mean they don't work as hard. It just means that people naturally assume that they are lazy when they get out, because the rest of the time they look so good.

Sehwag is far better than Gayle as a test batsman regardless of similarities in their techniques. Sehwag also probably being the best player/batsman in the world on form (although i'd put Kallis ahead of him easily ATM), does exactly mean he is a convincing batsmen in againts consistent quality bowling.

But lets leave it as that since my position on Viru is well documented & i dont want to turn this tour thread into a Sehwag argument.

Yeah that was when he was "in the mood" which happens once in a blue moon, have you seen his score today? 8-)
Yes, infact I had time to see his whole innings today. He got a ball that pitched on middle, swung away and hit his pad in front of off stump. Hardly threw it away or had a brain explosion.

There are times when he plays awful shots and has brain snaps in which he is more than deserving of the criticism he gets.

However today that is not the case. He got a good one first up and missed it. It's happened to players that were even in the mood too, believe it or not.
