metallics or marc should probably tell the new person taking over from metallics how much money he's already spent.

Mr. Glass
I have spent 2.2 million out of 10 million to be exact. Kamran Akmal for 100000 and Viv Richards for 2.1 million.

3 non-entries for round 3, which is quite disappointing, so top dollar was paid by Nnanden, slowfinger and Michael777777 - that fee being $2,850,000 so quite a painful one,

The following have been drafted:

T Alderman - flyonthewall
R Benaud - Noble One
A Davidson - Pothas
J Gillespie - G.I.Joe
R Hadlee - pskov
I Khan - Marcuss
J Laker - NUFAN
R Lindwall - Blakus
M Marshall - Simon
G McGrath - silentstriker
M Muralitharan - Himannv
J Snow - Somerset
G Swann - slowfinger
P Symcox - Michael7777777
S Warne - Eds
B Williams - Nnanden
W Younis - honestbharani

For the record, I only added 2 in this round, and couldn't ignore putting the CW classics of Murali and Warne head to head.

The winning bids were (lowest to highest) - $50,016, $600,000, $600,002, $780,000, $923,220, $1,200,002, $1,400,001, $1,500,000, $1,800,200, $1,900,100, $2,000,999, $2,100,040, $2,200,000, $2,850,000.

Up for auction this round are:

K Barrington (Ken)
I Botham (Ian)
D Bradman (Don)
J Edrich (John)
L Hutton (Len)
Inzamam-ul-Haq (Aloo)
S Jayasuriya (Sanath)
J Kallis (Jacques)
A Kapali (Alok)
V Mankad (Vinoo)
P Mead (Phil)
A Morris (Arthur)
G Pollock (Graeme)
B Richards (Barry)
S Tendulkar (Sachin)
V Trumper (Victor)
M Waugh (Mark)

Really pleased to get Davidson, massively underrated in my opinion, pretty good price as well, althogh maybe could have got him for a tad less.

Silenstriker's team is amazing at the moment, but he must have no money left now.

Wow, I got my first choice there.. Absolutely stunned to get Murali for such a decent price. Hammond, Russell and Murali. My team is starting to take shape..!!

Don't remember how much I bid for Gillespie, but it certainly wasn't much, and wouldn't mind having him in the team as a third/fourth seamer, especially considering it brings my total expenditure back to realistic levels now. Bargain imo.

EDIT: I have no doubt SS's finances are screwed now :p I wouldn't be surprised if the $2,850,000 bid was his. Even assuming $2,000,000, that brings his total expenditure so far to about $ 6,000,000, leaving him with a budget of 500,000 per player for the next 8 rounds. Cue SS to trot out a "building around the big three" line.

Okay, I've realised my winning bid for Gillespie was the $50,000 and change. Chuffed, considering that I've gotten a superb bowler for 1/12th the next highest bid :D

Sure but I got who I consider to be the greatest bowler of all time, the second best fast
bowling all rounder of all time and the greatest wicketkeeper batsman of all time. I have no doubt this means I'll have some weak spots but in a field of 17, you can't deny that this gives me an excellent core to win matches.

Basically I have three players that can keep me in any game on any surface by playing aggressive attacking cricket. If you had to pick three players to build a crappy team around, two all time great fast bowlers, one good batsman, and tan excellent wicketkeeper wicketkeeper and an amazing attacking player is ideal. I don't look at having played for 3 players - I got five positions on my team. Obviously you disagree with the early spending but I am ecstatic with having so many positions filled with 3 players.

I would have if I hadn't gotten my top choices. But no, I think I have enough multi dimensional players so far to help mitigate the "loss" of Bradman. I decided early on to focus on bowling over batting if I had the choice.

marc what happens if you have no money left after 8 or 9 players?
Or you forget to vote, get the highest value and go over the 10 Mil mark?

I'm really happy to get Jim Laker for just under 1 million dollars.

Hobbs+Knott+Laker.

Somerset

Cricketer Of The Year
Would've liked one of the top allrounders or one of the two modern spin champions so somewhat disappointed, althought John Snow's still a decent acquisition.

I've not really thought of that - I guess so long as you've $1 a round left then that's the best I can do, am hoping nobody fails to submit enough times for it to be a problem, but I wanted quite a harsh payment to be in place for non-submission. Guess I didn't expect the likes of Brad Williams to be nominated!

Yeah, cool. I guess if you go over the mark, you probably should be eliminated!

I think I'm between 3.0 & 3.1million, not too bad.
