Auction draft

Somerset

Cricketer Of The Year
I wrote my bid of $1,400,200 beside the name Hobbs and sent an email.
Thats extremely good going to secure Hobbs at that price, well done. I put down $2million for him and believe hes worth closer to my asking price than the $1.4million you paid for him.

If my final email had reached before the deadline I think its safe to say that I would have got Hobbs. Still, Hammond is an awesome aquisition. With just his name in the lineup, its already looking packed to the brim.

Noble One

Undecided if I should save money now and attempt some bargains, or just patch my team together at the end. Budget restrictions are tight after my round one stuff-up.

Boucher and Miandad does not look a bad start to a team though.

Yeah definitely a decent start I reckon.. Specially since you managed to get Miandad.

Whatever it takes!!!
lol.. Dhoni and Watson, already I must be the least popular team manager here.. But stoked that I ve spend only $1.7 M so far and can still afford to splurge as and when needed.

Eyes not spreadsheets
Just as a word or warning people - my laptop decided to crash last night and looks like it'll be out of action for a couple of weeks at least.

It had the only up to date copy of the spreadsheet on it, but fortunately I do have an older one available as a back-up.

The main issue is likely to be my not having as much access to a computer as I did have, which my cause delays to the drafts. If it does, please bear with me - I hope to run it as close to the announced schedules as possible.

If pskov hadn't changed his bid, he'd have signed him for sure.

However, the fact his bid was $800m suggested it was never going to get through...

Ha ha - yes.

Had a $40m for Murali this time as well.

9 in so far, and the good news is that my laptop appears to be functioning again, touch wood.

Only $40m after an $800m bid for Hobbs? Murali is so underrated.

What do you do with those sort of bids anyway?

Good luck with the lap mate.. We'll all keep our fingers crossed..
