Ok, interesting. Id love to see the last over that went for 20 off 5 balls
I'd like to know why that bowler was bowling. He's a batsman who bowls part-time left arm spin, his previous two overs had gone for 13 and both opening bowlers still had overs left.

I imagine if there WAS some kind of deal there'd of been some pretty unhappy banglas at the end of the over.

So much for the match fixing allegations! For shame...

NZ look to be cruising to victory against Lanka 161/3 chasing 195. An incredibly slow half century for Boam...doubt he'll get away with a strike rate like that against some of the bigger nations.
That looks to be how this batting order is set up IMO.

Boam and Cachopa to be the rocks at the top and middle orders and the rest to play their attacking game. Boam will have to score quicker then he has as you mentioned but he showed yesterday he's capable of that.

Sri Lanka isn't a big nation? Very intelligent innings really. What with Jimmy and Anderson at 3 and 4, this time has a nice balance with Boam grafting away at the top. And our reward for dominating our pool will be a match against either SA or Australia. Not sure how those two got drawn int he same pool, but either way it'll be hard road to the semi's.

You can only imagine how the young Windies are feeling tonight, the amount of luck they've had you'd think it's written in the stars that they'll win this thing, that was brilliant from Pakistan tonight and they'll be a danger to anyone they meet in the next round, that 15 year old opening batsman they've got can't seem to stop scoring huge totals right now too.

The Australia-South Africa games looks set to be a close one, if South Africa wins this it will be a pretty big upset would it not?

Perhaps worded slightly wrong. By "big nation" I meant better nation...the likes of Australia, England, India and Pakistan mainly. Obviously Boam's innings today was fine given the situation, but if chasing 280 or something he's going to have to step it up. The whole top order looks to be in pretty good touch though which is promising :)

Relatively confident in the batting. The bowling doesn't inspire much confidence though. Not the standout spearhead that there's been in some of the past WI U-19 teams.
Yeah the Batters seem to be getting their act together, Braithwaite and Dowrich are killing it, Creary needs to start showing his class though, i have faith in the spinners to be honest, they seem to be doing a decent amount of damage, Cariah and Warrican are amoungst the top wickets takers so we've still got hope in the bowling department, Holder also seem to be getting into gear for the seamers, they MUST take confidence from the luck they've had tonight and make it count now.

SL dominated a tri-series with Pakistan and Bangladesh late last year, beat the Australian U19's 3-2 in Darwin back in October and thumped India in a warm up match before this tournament started. Tbh, on form they have one of the best U19 sides in the world.

Yep i thought it was over once the Aussies got something like 271, if South African win it would be a huge knock to Austrlia's confidence.

And that pretty big upset means we now get to play Australia in the quarters. Oh goodie.

So New Zealand are playing Australia in the QF's? Kind of sucks in a way because one loss and you're out.
