I have heard very good things about him. But then again Ramdin was an awesome batsman at Under 19 level so I will have to contain my enthusiasm. I certainly think Barbados should include Braithwaite and Dowrich in their 4 day team when they get home.Dowrich seems a pretty sharp batsman. Competition for Ramdin? Good signs.
Braithwaite is a given, I think. He was impressive a handful of innings at the tail end of last season. Dowrich comes up against "West Indies capped" Patrick Browne, but I agree that he should be strongly considered. Browne hasn't been switched on for a while now.I have heard very good things about him. But then again Ramdin was an awesome batsman at Under 19 level so I will have to contain my enthusiasm. Wasn't much to miss, tbh.Missed Jimmy bat though
At first there was logic but then he got into the Barbados team, was the leading wicket taker by some distance and yet he was still dropped.Actually, I can understand the logic behind the way Bennett was treated for the majority of his career. With guys like Best, Collymore, Collins and Bradshaw in the seam department, and Benn ever-present. That said, I've always rated Bennett highly enough to have debuted by now.
The senior guys were always going to get the nod ahead of the youngsters though. And this is going to sound really bad, but Barbados' selections have recently seemed to be more to serve personal interests than those of West Indies cricket. Like when they picked Collins, Collymore, Best and Smith when none of them were eligible for West Indies selection. At first there was logic but then he got into the Barbados team, was the leading wicket taker by some distance and yet he was still dropped.
Well it is scheduled for tomorrowIndia V England hasn't got underway yet.

Pathetic really. When I left Sri Lanka were 133-9 and somehow they bat 16 overs and make another 60+ runs, shocking.Nice to see the lads emulating the efforts of the national side by letting the opposition off the hook after we had them at our complete mercy.
Not really.
'Pathetic'...? When a guy batting at No.7 scores a nigh-on run a ball 69 and manipulates the strike so well in a 10th wicket stand of 59, in 10 overs, where the No.11 faces only 16 of those balls for 5 not out?Pathetic really.
