Swann to Duminy, OUT, Swann strikes again! Sharply spinning delivery from round the wicket, catches Duminy's outside edge and Prior eagerly snaps it up. Second first-baller in a row for Duminy. Top delivery from Swann and South Africa are in real trouble.

JP Duminy c †Prior b Swann 0 (1m 1b 0x4 0x6) SR: 0.00

Duminy arrives at the wicket with South Africa tottering. He needs a good score both for himself and his team.

Swann to de Villiers, OUT, gone this time! Swann from round the wicket and de Villiers will kick himself, chipped to short midwicket. Soft dismissal just as South Africa were really making England sweat. Swann continues to cause trouble but he would concede he was lucky here.

AB de Villiers c Strauss b Swann 36 (84m 60b 4x4 0x6) SR: 60.00

England need a wicket here
CI to the rescue.

Bumble & Athers being prick teases here; Bumble "let it slip" that a fellow tourist clocked Swanneh in the gents (not a euphemism ) on our 99/00 tour and gave him a fat lip. Any guesses?

JP Duminy :(

I had such high hopes after the promise and maturity he showed in Australia.

Alas, it's all pretty much all gone downhill since then.

Kallis needs to grind it out here - massive burden being placed on him now.

Was wondering about that so had a look at the squad for that tour, and with Athers suggesting you wouldn't hit this guy back, my guess would be Chris 'Grizzly Adams. There are maybe one or two others, but he must be favourite. '

Swann really making the difference in the England attack, at the start of the series I didn't think 4 bowlers would be enough but I have been proved wrong. With the Swann offering control & wickets it allows Strauss to rotate his seamers at the other end always keeping the pressure on.

Good shout, actually. Was wondering if it might've been the tour's skipper, myself when Athers said he was "taken aback". Nass famously short-tempered, especially after a dismissal.

Although with his fingers he'd probably have bust three or four on Swanneh's gob.

Yes Swann has to be the main reason why the 4 bowler attack has so far had its success. Not only does he contain but he threatens aswell, so it allows Strauss to set positive fields without leaking too many runs. Of course he bowls the long spells allowing the quicker to get their breaks and be rotated from the other end.

As I type this Swann goes for three boundaries in a row!!

 Yes pretty sure Nasser's hand would have come worse off.

Andy Caddick may be another in the frame, but gonna stick with Adams.

I seem to remember Greg Matthews during the Ashes coverage saying he'd be surprised if Swann took another wicked after Cardiff, so kudos to him for ironing out any kinks after that performance. Not surprised if he did get clocked, I think he hits the woobly water a bit and I reckon he has a problem with shutting up, see his twitter.

JP, very dissapointed, supreme talent, although the Aussies identified a weakness to the short ball fairly early, not that this would have been exploited by Swann :P
