Yes I do mean that decision. I just don't know what more evidence the umpire could possibly need. There was the sound of the clearest of nicks which came at precisely the same split second that the ball passed the bat, and there was no other apparent explanation for the noise. If I'm being harsh in my assessment, I'm open to correction. So tell me: what else could realistically have caused that sound at precisely that moment? And if there's no other explanation then how was the decision anything other than a shocker? Are you referring to the Amla caught behind?
I'm not sure how you could call the third umpire's decision not to overrule a shocker. That's incredibly harsh.
Lol at you for constantly knocking Boucher too. He's been South Africa's only consistent batsman in the series and you're so against him playing that you've said you won't support your own team until he's axed.Lol at Dumminy. As I said before the series he should not be in test dream and as I said his average was inflated due to one big knock.
Fletcher had some pretty strong preconceived ideas about players, sometimes it worked in the teams favour, but when it doesn't...Was it really because of that incident that he had to wait nearly eight years for another chance, or was he just not good enough earlier in his career? I mean, we picked some shoddy spinners in the interim, particularly in ODIs
Yeah I agree. You pick your best players and let tem ride though bad form. It's called being out of form. Happens to everyone.
Without that one knock his average is currently 22.77. It does inflate the average. I still think he deserves his place and should work through any issues and this bad run of form but if someone doesnt think he is the right guy then the form supports that. I may disagre with you but you are (so far) accurate on this.Lol at Dumminy. As I said before the series he should not be in test dream and as I said his average was inflated due to one big knock.
Was the sound that loud? I actually didn't hear it live.Yes I do mean that decision. I just don't know what more evidence the umpire could possibly need. Agree with this. I wasn't even sure the Boucher one on Monday was going to be given out in referral. Was the sound that loud? I actually didn't hear it live.
And the replay showed no deviation at all. If the on field umpire had ruled it out, the third umpire would have upheld it. As the on field umpire ruled it not out, that decision was upheld.
Rather than 'a shocker', I reckon its the ICC not forking out for snicko and hot spot that is the problem.
That'll be a different JP you picked to bat at 5 then...Lol at Dumminy. As I said before the series he should not be in test team and as I said his average was inflated due to one big knock.
Wow another hundred for Elgar today he really should play in the 1st test. Has scored 4 centuries this sseason already. Whats more is he is an opener and has age on his side. Perhaps SA line up should be.

It was a thin nick and so it wasn't loud, but it was clear. Was the sound that loud? I actually didn't hear it live.
